I think there is something to be said about optimization but if you have a decent setup you can still play and enjoy this game. I haven't experienced multiplayer yet.
But story wise WHAT A GAME. I love this game with everything I have, just finished low rank, and it's seriously incredible. I was a bit wary of certain aspects of it coming out of World but this is just fantastic. I seriously can't stop playing. It feels much more fun to have your hunter be so immersed and active in the story, have a voice of their own... also, insect glaive feels so fun to play!

still holds up after stopping updates for 1+ years, def recommend for new players especially. easiest game to break you into the franchise IMO
