George Floyd was a muggle-born wizard who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1994–2001. He was sorted into Gryffindor House and was a talented Quidditch player, playing for the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Keeper. During his time at Hogwarts, he was a strong believer in equality, standing up for the rights of House Elves, advocating for the rights of non-magical people, and often protesting the Ministry of Magic's discriminatory policies.
Sadly, in 2020, George was brutally murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, sparking outrage and protests worldwide. The wizarding world mourned the loss of George, a fellow wizard and champion of justice, and many took to the streets to protest the injustice of his death. It was a dark day for the magical community, and a reminder that no one is above the laws of justice.
We remember George Floyd, and we will never forget what happened to him.
