Scarlet Hollow is pushing non-linear storytelling and innovating choice based games in the game industry. This delightful horror mystery game has the most detailed branching I've ever seen! I have... too many playthroughs now to count (7? 8? More?) and each one is unique, exposing content that the others didn't meet the qualifications for.

On top of that, the story itself and the characters are all complex and delightful. This game does a beautiful job at establishing nuanced small-town themes across everyone you meet, and I love getting to know the cast more with each playthrough. The art is hand-drawn and super impressive, as well.

This is hands down one of my new favorite games, and I strongly suggest that anyone who loves a good branching story or mystery adventure to give Scarlet Hollow a try.
