Multiplayer does not work on the steam version. Tried to join a H3 campaign and it did not work at all. Single Player is all this game is good for unfortunately.

This game is enjoyable as a flight simulator early on. The novelty of flying a spaceship quickly loses its allure as you realize that this is not a flight simulator or even an economic colony simulator. This is a logistics game.

Want to go kill pirates for cash? Cool. Want to improve your ship using engineering materials? Well, all you need to do is

1. Go to the system where your combat ship is parked.
2. Check if that ship has a collector limpet and cargo rack.
3. Whoops, it only has hull reinforcement modules... Well I'll just buy a collector limpet and cargo rack.
4. Check inara.cz to confirm the location of the collector limpet and cargo racks you want (need to be size 4, and there are different grades.)
5. Confirm the closest location using inara.cz and plot a flight there in the combat ship.
6. Arrive, purchase the cargo rack and collector limpet, storing your hull reinforcements at that random station you stopped at.
7. Finally go and kill pirates by jumping all the way back to the objective...

But wait, it's already been 2 hours! I actually can't kill any pirates because I spent the free time I had doing preparatory logistics. If you enjoy spending long spans of time planning and diagramming the future state of your ships, this is the game for you.

if you want to have fun more quickly, try out a different game.

Absolutely worth. It's the best virtual gambling game

War Thunder is an addicting and fun combat simulator. However, it has a few key major flaws:

1. At BR 4.0, you hit a wall in progression. 100 battles will yield 1 new tank. Until then, you may get a new vehicle every 10 or fewer games.

2. Premium vehicles and a premium account give you faster RP gain, which means you can progress faster.

3. Therefore, it becomes necessary to spend money to rank up. And not just $20 or $30 or even $50.

4. Every premium vehicle is $70. You can also buy premium currency for less. Buying premium vehicles means you can play in a target BR range and get increased RP gain.

5. You only have your ONE premium vehicle though at a high BR. You need to bring 3 to have a full crew for Arcade or even more for realistic. So a minimum of $210 to be able to play at High BRs without grinding for a year or so.

Ultimately, I believe the game is a waste of time. There are better and more enjoyable games to grind obsessively.

Brutal. Oozes with lore. Significant replayability in multiplayer with potential to grow. A smash hit; Warhammer 40k is mainstream now?? And it didn't even change anything... it's still just as badass as ever. Maybe it's society. 10/10, would exterminate the enemies of humanity again
