A compelling game with beautiful art, subtle storytelling, and a powerful soundtrack. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys platformers, as well as those who merely tolerate the style for the sake of the story, since the level design is quite intuitive with a good level of interesting elements of exploration. It is complex enough to be interesting, without being punishing.

The story is a quiet tragedy, told through notes, audio logs, and visuals; one moment that particularly shines is when you read a note, then when you move to the edge of the platform, the camera zooms out. In truth, I knew what was there before I even read the note, but it still took a few seconds to realise what I was seeing. This was the turning point where the story began to crystallise and take shape in my head.

I will say that the last chapter became near unplayable on my computer - throughout the game, certain jumps and ledges are extremely difficult to make if there is ever a hint of slowness or juddering, which really spoils the effect of the finale. My system is quite old, but I'll give it a chance to cool down and try again later. This is my only criticism; it appears to be rather inefficient.

Very weird, and difficult to navigate - but once you begin to understand how it works, it opens up before you. If you want to play this game to completion, you really need to have a map of the dream links open - but if you're just playing casually, it's very relaxing. It really does feel like a dream, with weird logic and skewed perspectives, but it has funny elements as well. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's very difficult to describe! High replayability - but in an unusual way, since the dreams themselves don't change, and all paths through the dreams intertwine.

Overall, I highly recommend this game. Some parts are tricky, some are frustrating, but the atmosphere is one of profound peace. Especially for such a low price!

I will say it took me a long time to figure out that the codes were supposed to be set as your controls; it was very frustrating when I was trying to access certain pathways.

Pros:
-The concept is fascinating
-The art is breathtaking
-The puzzles are great

Cons:
-The characters aren't engaging or realistic, especially the protagonist; she's supposed to have no knowledge of magic or anything, but she just accepts it without blinking?
-It feels like a lot more could have been done with the plot

All in all, however, I greatly enjoyed this game. An excellent casual game, for when you don't want anything particularly stressful, but with beautiful artwork. The visuals are a triumph for this game.

I cannot recommend this enough. Playing through the first time, I was struck by the genuine warmth I felt from interacting with the world through the child. We discovered the wonders and the struggles together, and together we made our way towards the most meaningful moment I have ever experienced in a game in my life. It's so hard to describe, especially without sounding like I'm exaggerating, but I think I learnt something important about myself and the person I want to be.

Even playing through the second time can't erase that.

This game is beautiful. The story is captivating; I love the way it's told in reverse, as you travel back in time, with all it's twists and turns. The soundtrack is incredible. The emotion is palpable. The one critecism I have is that the actual mechanics of the game were not explained very well, although they were simple enough that I quickly caught on. Overall, a fantastic experience with strong potential for the future.

tl;dr: This game is beautiful, the story is clear yet intense, one of my favourite games of all time.

This game has everything. Challenging gameplay. Incredible art. Awe-inspiring music. The way these elements are seamlessly woven together creates a rich tapestry, a true work of art, When I reach a particularly tough section, I can barely even get frustrated; one time that springs to mind had me shaking from adrenaline, so much that I had to take a break, as I failed over and over and over, but when I finally suceeded - when I succeded it was incredible. I have never felt anything like it.

I haven't even mentioned the story yet! It's truly magical, one of the most emotional I have ever seen. I cried at the prologue. The prologue! It feels like every time I play, this game surprises me. The twists and turns of the pathways mirror the story, and yet the story remains clear. One of the most incredible things is the way the music and the art work together to make certain enemies downright terrifying; without this, they look a lot less scary - which is also used to great effect.

I love this game. It's definitely earned a permanent place as one of my favourite games of all time.

Perfect for newcomers and experienced gamers alike, I cannot overstate how much I love this game. The characters have such life about them, it's impossible not to become invested in at least a few - if not all - of them. The story is incredible, and the music is too; it's rare to find a soundtrack that so perfectly matches the story, and the asthetic, instantly heightening each and every feeling you have, but Toby Fox has done it. I love the way your choices matter, how some things can't be erased, and the puns! The puns are great!

My only regret is that I knew the story already. Undertale is absolutely best played blind; conventional games have trained us to think certain things, and sometimes this is exploited to poignant effect. Although, even if you know the story it's still worth playing - the various combinations of choices and hidden content ensure that there's always something new to find. Some of the best money I ever spent.
