The first game in the Yakuza series chronologically. This game begins with Kiryu, the first protagonist, as a bottom rung Yakuza in the Dojima Family, and Majima, the second protagonist, as the owner of the Grand down in the Sotenbori.

Gameplay 7/10

In case you aren't aware, Yakuza is a real-time combat game, including this game. Yakuza 0 offers two protagonists that will switch after certain chapters.

>Each characters are given four styles to switch between during the combat, making a total of eight different styles in this game.
>Heat mechanics are bad, since this is their first time experimenting with gear systems. Heat actions will drain heat, but when you have no heat, your speed is super slow.
>Considering you play at Normal difficulty, this game is relatively easy, if all you do is spamming combos.
>The boss fights? I'd say it's pretty balanced and this game does punish you if you spamming combos on a blocking enemy.

Game Design 6/10

>Defeating enemies earns you cash. Use the cash to upgrade your abilities.
>This game requires a LOT OF TIME to grind in order to unlock all abilities, as well as the fourth style (yes, you need to complete a mini game to unlock the fourth style).
>There is a powerful boss roaming in the city. Quite hard, if not fought properly. Defeating the boss rewards you an INSANE amount of money, which will help the mini game grind.
>This game features a New Game Plus, which allows you to keep all the upgrades and replay the whole story again if you wanted to.

Story and Characters [9/10]

>The story is impressive, and explains a lot of details to all old Yakuza fans, as well as a few substories regarding future characters in the upcoming games.
>Humor? Top tier. Each characters have their own moments and it is an absolute peak.

Game optimization [10/10]

>Despite having released first for the consoles, this game is playable on PC. What i meant by playable is the controls.
>You are supposed to play with controller for maximum feel, though it is still playable with keyboard and mouse.
>If you can run at least common games today, you definitely can run this game.

Graphics [6/10]

>For a game being released in 2018, this game has decent graphics. Not good, but okay.
>Do not expect too high on the graphics because this clearly was not the selling point of this game.

The game is a complete trash since Valve decided to make it free, it is full of hackers and smurfs and the community began to violate the game easily. Full of salty players and unfriendly community. Would not recommend this game. Valve, I hate your updates and making it free is a big mistake. Statistics shows 600,000 accounts were VAC-banned in December 2018. Learn from your mistakes, Valve. I would rather buy this game, if it is going to be safe without any hackers
