Spent 2 hours building shaders before I could actually play the game.

My PC specs are just above recommended system requirements for 60 FPS High settings @ 1080p.

Ran game at high settings, all textures looked mushy and lacking detail. Changed settings, restarted PC, nothing changed. The game also suffered with micro stutters and crashed 3 times within the 45 minutes I spent actually playing the game. Please don't buy it until these issues have been sorted.

CS:GO Review
The most rewarding competitive FPS on Steam. In most cases enjoying the game requires the player to learn the game's basic mechanics and concequences. Aside from the marketplace being flooded with skins, it's still the barebones team oriented game it always has been. Counter Strike is the godfather of the FPS genre.

I'm a former LE player and played this game avidly before the ranks got dropped by Valve. There is one downside to the game that doesn't get talked about outside of high elo, so I wanted to address it here for new players :)

The only real downside is that high elo can be home to a lot of hackers/cheaters, so you might want to use third party sites such as FaceIt, ESEA or ESL to play competitively without the bother of cheaters ruining your games. If you're playing regular matchmaking, you may come across a lot of former GE/Supreme players in LE/LEM due to hackers causing them to de-rank, which can cause a bit of frustration in that elo bracket and the game can become a lot more difficult as you'll probably be playing vs players who are more mechanically skilled than you 50% of the time.

The Overwatch system is great and allows the satisfaction of punishing players who could potentially ruin your own games, but the issue of hackers still persists fairly heavily.

If you're new to the game and really want to improve/climb into higher elo brackets, please be aware of these problems and I'd recommend taking third party sites into consideration.
