Most people just make jokes about the game's name and I bought it exclusively because I was big on countryballs ages ago, but this is genuinely a super fun and extensive experience, unironically one of the best games that came out this year. The action, combat, and platforming is insane, there's nothing to not like.

Never has D&D been so accessible, and yet so much more immersive.

Really funky and funny, sometimes it's just pleasing to have this run in the background for a bit when you have little of anything to do. Would be amazing if it could also double as a wallpaper.

I bought this game to play with my friend but then it asked me to hack my router to port forward my information to the whole world so that I can play with them.
Can't believe this bullcrap is needed nowadays, this is early 2000s type incompetency.

Servers are unoptimized, UI barely even works, maps are terrible, balance is not a thing that has been conceived yet, progression is hellbent on making you grind and waste your time until you realize you can't refund this ♥♥♥♥ anymore

Having >70 ping even for a split second means rubberbanding several feet every half-second and having your shots that hit the enemy everywhere only be registerred as one bullet by the server; trying to use the social button in the UI boots you to the main menu; non-BR maps are wholly uninteresting and so badly-designed that there are literally dedicated camping spot guides popping up daily; everyone is running and gunning with SMGs and winning long-range fights against assault or battle rifles; and in the end after the 30-60 minutes setup you play a little only to find out that the progression is even more grindy than the ones of the original Modern Warfare trilogy and you end up having 2+ hours of gametime of which barely even half was gameplay so you can't refund anything.

Skyrim is one of those games that you can rarely be tired of, and by modern standards, that already makes it amongst the best and most noteworthy of the industry.

It is a game for everyone: casual players, RPG enthusiasts, game bingers, and so on. Few other games in this genre, or even industry, come close to Skyrim's natural ambience and atmosphere. Already by the first few minutes of your first playthrough, you are living through an experience that you will never feel again, transported into a new world that you will be stuck in for as long as it may take you to finish the game... and even then.

The repackagings, the new editions, the paid mods, they all don't matter. Skyrim is a grand celebration of what makes open-world RPGs great, combining music, art, lore, world and epicness into a perfect mold of epic fantasy. The art and world is as grandiose as a digital wonder of the world can be; the music is as flamboyant as it is fitting, and the lore and epicness is not just simply deep — instead, it reaches beyond the skies to the distant stars.

Immensely replayable, always enjoyable and expertly crafted, I do think that Skyrim is one of those games that would get recognized as a new standard for gaming if we took digital media as seriously as we did past literature and art. Even without mods, Skyrim still remains to this day a flagship of the open-world RPG genres, and even moreso for epic medieval fantasy.

Just don't mind the bugs.
