As someone who only really started playing the original Oblivion a few years ago and has been playing it on and off I've very much enjoyed this so far. It's a fresh breath of air to a game I absolutely adore and a worthy update for sure.

Yes there's some launch issues, this game could certainly be better optimized. The difficulty scaling is also really quite bad compared to the original difficulty slider that would let you find your exact sweet spot, nothing that a simple mod wouldn't fix though. And yes, there's some more jank, ultimately nothing that ruins the game for me.

So yes, Oblivion with a fresh coat of paint, improved gameplay and leveling mechanics. Got me excited enough to buy it at launch which I haven't done for a game in a decade and it has delivered so far and gotten me back into Oblivion as well, despite playing through most the original game no longer than a year ago.

Good take on the setting of the great war. I've spent most my time playing the survival mode, which has a bit of an awkward difficulty scaling, also with some units being rather useless in. Netcode could be better, but it definitely better than it used to be. Other than that the game is pretty much what you'd expect with the gunplay where most weapons 1 shot people.
