No real sense of direction, you may die a lot at the start, can get cursed for doing literally nothing, important upgrades depend on RNG (to break them walls) and very vague story-telling. In short, 2D Souls/10 Would recommend.

So,
Ace of Spades: Battle Builder
. This game is very diferent from the 1st AoS. It´s an Arena Shooter with 4 diferent classes (Sniper, Miner, Heavy and Builder), each class has it´s own weapons:
Sniper : A Sniper Rifle (Duh!), either a bolt action rifle that does high damage or a semi-automatic rifle with slightly less damage. The problem with it is that when you use you scope in theres a laser sight that totally gives you away, so you better shoot quickly and change your position.
Miner : A Double Barreled Shotgun, very high damage but useless at anything beyond 10 feet away from you. Also you can carry a F*CKING DRILL LAUNCHER to take down enemy buildings or quickly make a tunnel.
Heavy : As you can guess this one carries around a Minigun or a Rocket Launcher, used correctly this class can be a game changer.
Builder : It can choose a Block Gun (Mostly used to build defenses or paths given that it doesn´t do a lot of damage) or an MP5, always carries around a Jetpack, but don´t get your hopes up cause it only lasts a couple seconds and it takes time to recharge.

Also theres melee weapons like picks or knives for all classes and specific class items like Mines (Sniper), Grenades (Heavy) or TNT (Miner).

What makes this game diferent from other Arena Shooters is that the entire map can be used for destruction or construction. Don´t expect much from the physics, if you destroy the structure´s base (all of it, even a single block can hold a 100x100 building) the entire thing will crumble and fall LEVOLUTIOOON (but blocks that formed part of it will clip trough the floor and never be seen again...).

In regards of construction every class has can place blocks (although the builder does it much, much faster) and make cover or builds like a simple but fortified sniper nest to bridges, small buildings, towers, etc. So you can try to make a bridge in the sky and attack your enemy from above or grab a shovel (miner only, other classes have a pick axe) and a make tunnel to the enemy base.

Regarding Gamemodes you have:
Team Deathmatch: 1st team to reach a certain amount of kills wins.
Inteligence: Gotta get to the enemy base, take their case and bring it to your base.
Zombie Mode Cause every shooter needs zombies now : Make defenses, stay alive, or eat the tasty humans (and dig fast as f***!!!).
Classic Mode: If you ever played the 1st game and feel nostalgic or just wanna try something simple, no classes, only one weapon which is the M1 Garand and 3 very simple maps.

The game doesnt have many maps to play in (like 12 or so) but it doesn´t matter much given that players change it all the time, you´ll find more holes in the ground or simple 1-block walls here and there than you think.

The game developers have made Block N Load which is a VERY similar game but I still find some aspects that I like of both so this one is still worth a buy.

Receiver is not a game that everyone will like. It takes the FPS genre to a much higher level of realism. It has no difficulty settings, checkpoints, game save or HUD for that matter.
You start the game in a random room inside of a building. You don´t know who you are or why you´re there. Equipped with a 1 of 3 diferent firearms (a Glock 18, a Revolver or a 1911 45. cal Pistol), a flashlight(that you may not get on spawn but be able to find later), and nothing else than that you must find out what is going on.
When walking around the building you will find turrets or flying robots that will try to kill you. You can fight or run, but in some areas you will just have to go trough them to progress.
You will eventually find orange sound tapes that will tell you why you´re there, how to get out, and how to effectively fight the robots and turrets. In order to finish the game you must find all 11 tapes scattered around the building.

The game mechanics will be hard to understand at 1st, but in time you will get better at it. And if you don´t like some of the controls you can change them from the Launch Menu.
You don´t have sights in the screen so you must aim to shoot properly, there are many commands for what you can do with your weapon, and the reload process must be done manually.
Ammo is in pretty short supply, so you got to look around in the building and find bullets, equip it in your magazine (or barrel) and put in your inventory(in case you are using a pistol), then have it ready to reload in combat.

Also this game is made with the Unity engine, so don´t expect anything fancy here.

If I have to tag this game with one word, it would be "Crazy". Enemies are not that hard to kill, even on Hard. The plot is...ok. Physics are 100% unreal, which makes multiplayer really funny. So if you´re looking for a game that you can´t take seriously and you just wanna shoot and destroy everything, this could be your game.

¿So what is this game?

Garry´s Mod is the greatest Sandbox game I have ever played. It allows the player to use the Source Engine for whatever he/she wants. It´s a game with no ending, being played by thousands of players everyday.

¿Why would you like this game?

There´s no boundries on what you can or cannot do. From spawning NPC´s and weapons to create and record scenes with ragdolls and trying out more community content trough the Steam Workshop (which gets new content ALL the time), to make a whole gameplay that you couldnt have thinked of before.

¿What about the Multiplayer?

The Multiplayer experience can vary a lot, theres plenty of gamemodes to choose(aside from the main sandbox in which you have much more freedom on what to do). Players are the same than most of games, theres good guys, theres bad guys, you will find nice people that will help you and teach things, or everyone will ignore you and shoot you time to time.

¿How much content is there?

As stated before, theres a lot. You can us props characters and things from other Source games or even play those games trough Gmod(for example HL2, Portal, DoD,etc). You can use the tools the game has to offer to make your own creations, also you can make maps or content of your own. You can also put more community content (known as Add-ons) trough the Workshop. Be careful though, if you put a lot of community content it may cause LUA errors, script errors, make the game unable to play on Singleplayer and even crash your game.

¿For how long this game will entertain me?

That pretty much depens on you. How creative you are with it or how willing are you to try out new things. The people you play with in this game will also matter (as in all multiplayer games), this so far its the best thing I can think of to play with friends. I have currently 800 hours on this game and I consider that that is far (FAR) from over, it may never end for me.

¿It´s the price worth it?

This game is pretty cheap for the experience it can give you, and it even goes cheaper on sales or bundles in other web sites. If you STILL don´t have Gmod, better put the next 10 dollars (or less) that you get on it, I dont believe in the slightest you will regret it.

A total 10/10 game for me, full of spicy memes.
