Update 12/3/24-

They seem to have squared away most of the cloud scaling issues, unfortunately there are still a significant number of game breaking bugs. Random crashes and stuttering / lag (even on high end hardware)- planes spawning inside of buildings, crashing into invisible walls, strange grammatically questionable AI generated dialogue for NPCs and such. Beyond this, the career mode needs some tweaking, too much grinding is involved- and evaluation of your performance can often be incorrect (ie... following taxiing instructions and radio communication prompts can still lead to marks for crossing runways- you may get random penalties for not turning on landing lights even during the day- w/o any prompting). For skydiving missions, if you're using a C172, it'll always tell you you're "too slow" running the job, despite climbing and descending as fast as possible.

Previous review:

"Botched launch so far, hopefully they can scale up their server / cloud resources to meet demand soon.

They appear to have successfully scaled up cloud resources to meet demand better. Unfortunately there's still some glaring errors- engine sound does not work for many (all?) aircraft.

The game installs in your users's appdata folder on the boot drive, ignoring if you've selected another drive for the install in Steam. You have to edit config files in order to have package content save elsewhere."

Early Access Review
If you’re not prepared to deal with a comparatively limited feature set, and a decent number of bugs- do not buy this game until it’s out of early access. Its really that simple- this is not a complete game- nor are they asserting that it is.

The most immersive, detailed, and compelling VR experience I've had yet to encounter. Excellent voice acting, story, physics and environments. If you've got a rig that can run it and a headset- treat yourself.

Buttery smooth gameplay, supremely satisfying carnage and mechanics. Only complaint would be the lack of a conventional deathmatch mode.

Any incredibly beautiful game- despite it's dark and disturbing subject matter. The graphics- despite being a sides scrolling platformer combined with nearly perfect player physics and sound make this game surprisingly immersive. The understated way in which you're introduced to the distopian world feels natural and impactful.

I'm incredibly impressed with this game- highly recommend.

Some of the most honest and emotionally effecting storytelling I've ever seen in a game.
