I played this a while back, when it was available elsewhere as a download. Only bought it again to show some love for this weird little game.

Very reluctant to say too much, as I went in blind and honestly believe that is the best way. Just jump in, and trust that this isn't an ordinary game. It isn't broken. It knows EXACTLY what it's doing. The graphics may be basic, but in an odd sort of way that just makes the whole thing a little creepier.

Blown away by the levels of creative innovation here. It's honestly not like anything else.

Got a lot of love for IMSCARED.

This game is full of difficult choices.

Haven't been addicted to a zombie survival game like this since Organ Trail, and while that game is very dear to me...dare I say it, DRTC does it better. It's a beautiful little game. Lots of features and options, sky high replayability and very responsive devs who are STILL working on adding cool features and tweaking the game make this an excellent purchase. I didn't wait for it to come on sale, and feel zero regrets about it.

In terms of difficulty it is quite punishing. But the journey is enjoyable enough that even when its infuriating, I feel compelled to dive back in.

This is an absolute treat.

Only a few hours in, I can already say this is the most local multiplayer fun I have had in a long time. Nice shared pickup and checkpoint systems in co-op. Versus mode is absolutely hilarious. Also entertaining in single player, although nowhere near as much.

Definitely worth picking up.

Dark Seed meets Dark Souls is the vibe I got from this game, stylistically speaking. Very, very interesting. The art is stunning, and the game is quite atmospheric. Puzzles are engaging and there isn't too much in the way of pixel hunting, although one or two items were a little awkward to find.

Got it on sale, and would recommend doing the same. Took about four hours to play through the once, and while I am intrigued enough to want to play through it again and make different choices, I can't see it having much to offer beyond that in terms of playtime.

Really enjoyable game.

Don't be fooled by the playtime. I've owned this game on Xbox for years. It's my favourite game in the whole world.

Randomised events for maximum replayability, genuinely challenging in places, and deeply hilarious.

My one regret is that you can't just give the bear those damn berries.

Deciding whether to recommend this or not was pretty tough. It's not that I didn't enjoy the game. It is, however, quite short - I completed all three chapters in one sitting yesterday - so if you're going to buy, I'd say get it on sale if you can.

On the positive side, the story was interesting, and some of the effects were pretty creepy. There's a good sense of atmosphere in this game. I also enjoyed the camera chapter in particular, as using the item to reveal secrets was an interesting element.

In terms of criticism...well, as I said, it's quite short. Also, the level design can be a little confusing. There were a few areas in the game where it wasn't always immediately clear which door to take, where you would find yourself facing a way you didn't expect and it was quite easy to accidentally double back on yourself.

Overall, I'd say this game is just okay. Worth a look if you have a few pounds to burn, but not wishlist material. Nothing awful about it, but then nothing great either. It's a good effort, but there are some much better examples of point and click horror out there.

Recommended with caution.

My first experience with Windosill was in an online demo a few years back. Unfortunately, for a long time I couldn't remember the name of it, and have had my eye out for it ever since.

Gotta say, it was absolutely worth waiting for. It's not the longest game, and none of the puzzley parts are all that strenuous. But it has a very original style, and for a couple of quid, you really can't go wrong with this game. I'd recommend buying this, if only to experience it the once. It's certainly not like anything I've played before.

A very charming and likeable little game.
