I've been a long time SFS player, around version 1.3 on mobile. Though I haven't played much recently, across both mobile and PC, I easily have sunk over 500 hours into this game. It's easy to pick up and play, fun to design and build rockets, whether original or recreations of real rockets, and it's a great example of easy to play, difficult to master. Would recommend.

This game is really fun to play and mess around on. Making amazing contraptions, to meme contraptions, to flat out making things that break the laws of physics, it's all really fun.

However, there is one downside. I tend to play this game on multiplayer more than I do singleplayer, and currently, the multiplayer system needs an overhaul. It's really buggy, and just needs a rework instead of sporadic patches.

Other than that, this game is still awesome as hell. I highly recommend this game.

Stormworks has potential, but it is being developed by people that have no clue what they want to do or where they want to take their game. In short, there's too much feature creep, not enough optimization, and is extremely unfriendly to beginners.

The feature creep: What do I mean by this? Feature creep is when a product, in this case Stormworks, is bloated with way too many features that stray far from the original purpose, which was rescue missions. The developers have focused on adding so much stuff to their game that it is bloated, convoluted, and very poorly optimized.

Performance: Stormworks's performance in general is a very poor aspect overall, especially for the multiplayer aspect, which has been riddled with performance issues and bugs since its inception. I've had Stormworks since it was in early access, and while multiplayer has improved somewhat, it is still very bugged and poorly built with no resolution from the devs in sight. The last time I played Stormworks, a few months ago, it flatout bluescreened my computer, and I quit after that.

Beginner-unfriendliness: As other reviews have mentioned, there's essentially no proper tutorials for building or major mechanics for Stormworks. The builder is very clunky and tedious to use, making vehicles work is difficult, and operating vehicles can be a chore in itself. I spent a few hours trying to make a basic boat once, and I could not get it to work, even with video tutorials. It turned me off entirely from playing Stormworks anymore.

To sum everything up, the developers of Stormworks don't really know what they're doing with their game. A lack of beginner friendliness, very poor optimization, and bugfixing being lackluster at best alone are the three strikes for Stormworks for me. On top of that, add in the developers adding DLCs before the core of their game is solid, having multiplayer barely working and not fixing anything, occasionally breaking the game (Space Update completely shattering the game, and people speaking out about it being silenced and banned in the Discord), and you have a recipe for a disastrous game. Not recommended.

SimplePlanes is an outright amazing game. The physics are great, the flying is easy, the amount of parts you can use is great, all of it. The devs did an amazing job. I recommend this game to everyone.

Suddenly stopped booting today. Tried to reboot it many times, restart my laptop, uninstall and reinstall the game, and sign out of in back in my account, and still nothing. fix this now. i don't know what to do now. I was in the middle of working on several levels, and now I can't. I PAID $4 FOR SOMETHING THAT ONE DAY JUST DECIDES TO NOT BOOT!!

EDIT! I am changing my review to positive as I found an old reddit thread that allowed me to fix my game. Now that I can play again, this game is just great. I love the mechanics, how addicting it is, and building levels! I recommend this game to anyone who likes inexpensive but addicting games!
