This is the 3rd extraction shooter I've ever played, and by far this is my favorite. I enjoy this one over COD or other FPS games. One, for the giant maps we can play on. That is a huge win in my book. The 'realism' of the maps is also really well done. Two, the PvPvE concept is really neat. I like that if I'm tired of sweats and getting shot while gooping/extracting I can change how I play and eventually get into peaceful lobbies. Or if I feel like blasting folks, I can just start going on a rampage and getting back into PvP lobbies. The dynamic shifting of aggression makes it so you have to keep on your toes. Yes, it sucks getting killed when you're trying to be peaceful, but I accept it as part of the game. What shifted my mentality is "It's just my turn to use this gear" and I stopped being so pissed when someone kills me while I'm rocking epic gear for that raid. Having played for over 100 hours now I can make to replace the 'epic' gear I borrowed for that round. This dynamic makes this game very different from other shooter games, which is a huge shift in the FPS genre. Running free kits to quick grab the goop you need to make better weapons is great too. Doesn't make the sense of 'loss' huge, just load right back in and go grab it again. The RNG is different so much that it forces exploration instead of limited 'known spots' for various gear/items.

It's not too serious.

The player base is very friendly and willing to help, hardly any bad language or toxic players.

I really like the fact that even though my computer doesn't have a ton of video ram or fancy graphics card that I can still play this game with 30-60fps. True, the graphics details are super low but still beautiful. Controls are easy enough to use with mouse+keyboard. I love the idea that I can "go anywhere" and quickly adjust what kind of gameplay I am doing. In one minutes I'm buying goods to complete a mission, the next I'm blowing up a couple of pirates attacking other players, then attending a funeral procession before jumping to my mission zone. Steam says I have 190+ hours, that's not true. The game launcher was open for several days, but I've only played maybe 8 hours at the point when I'm writing.
