This game is great; I didn't enjoy it at first when I tried the beta - the intro/tutorial mission wasn't very good and didn't pull me in. However, my friend gifted me the game on release and after trying it again, it clicked after a few runs and I was addicted to the gameplay loop.

Yes, this type of game isn't for everyone, so only play if you:
A. enjoy PvP
B. have friends to play with, or don't mind running solo/with randoms

The gunplay is great, and generally fights feel fair. I only play an hour or two per day so my progression has been slow and steady. The fact that it's entirely possible to outplay and defeat players with better gear AND take their gear makes this game much less time-intensive.

Above all else, the game is very fun (plays like Destiny's Crucible mode). Matchmaking doesn't take long and the game is relatively stable (maybe 1 crash every few days?).

Great game so far! The game currently runs really stable (only crashed once for me), and the gameplay is very good. The battle system is a lot of fun, and the story so far is also very interesting.

Edit: Completed this game, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The story and the battle system really kept the game going. I played on NORMAL difficulty, and it was kind of easy since you get so many heal items. I am only a completionist if it isn't too much of a grind, and luckily most items/collectibles were easy to get as you progress through the game. The only thing I had to look up online were two fish I was missing; everything else wasn't too obscure to obtain during the course of normal gameplay. Please note I played using an xbox controller, which I highly recommend you do (or any controller for the matter).

For those who've played Fallout 3 or New Vegas will feel right at home with this game. I'm 72 hours in with no mods, and if you enjoy the FPS with loot formula then you'll have a lot of fun. The settlement building is a nice distraction that doesn't serve much purpose, and the amount of quests is dizzying. Every time I come back to this game trying to just finish the main quest line, I end up sidetracked doing other random things.
