good idle game. soundtrack is fun and the visuals are amazing, its short and sweet. i can recommend it if u need a game on in the background while u watch youtube or do other tasks around the house.

i dont have much to say now, i just finished it and its 2:41 in the morning. i suck at puzzles, ive been in vc getting help from my friends, and honestly, if you are going to get help, thats the way, especially if they have played before hand or are just generally good at puzzles (which im not)

while after your playthrough, you may have not fully digested the full context what is going on within the narrative (i still havent) you will get enough of an idea to understand whats happening, there is genuinely so much lore with broadside beach (ig u could consider it the prequel b4 shipwrecked) and hi-09 coming out, there is a lot of world building and fantastic writing showcased through it all

genuinely one of the most unique ways to tell a story. and also a genuinely scary way. horrifying game. stressful. sometimes it can be tedious, but once you figure out what u gotta do, u can do it #blessed

really solid game. writing is hilarious and its a solid surrealist experience that gives you a fun time while also making you think about what is being said in between some of the exchanges in this world. the gameplay is also really smart as it progresses, with the little ways it will change the way you approach every new cooking challenge with the new obstacles it throws your way. soundtrack is also amazing and the general atmosphere is on point. worth the sit down experience for.

the art is good but ngl after reflecting on my experience with it after the inital wave of its cultural peak, its relies heavily on shock value to make a potentially interesting narrative unappealing due to it not exploring the world it built up in any impactful way

cool ideas good art and also tbh a solid soundtrack but narratively it needs more than just shock value. build up on the psyche and lives of these characters, give us a reason to really want to dig deep into the psyche of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up sibling dynamic, alongside the rest of the family and world.

i only have played the intro so far, so I will review this edit in due time once I play through chapter 1. what I played was a fantastic example of indie games that are so incredibly individualistic to the creator, that the aesthetics can coincide perfectly with the gameplay. an indulgence in the hyper-masculine fantasy of being a vigilante figure in a lawless land with heavy critiques on capitalism and consumerism as a whole. the dialogue is so clearly written by someone who spends a lot of time online, in the best way possible. it embraces its edge and i love it for that.

the asethetics of this game line up so beautifully with the gameplay, as its honestly a challenging game. its a challenging game for characters that live in a punishing and cruel world, and its most noticed in the boss fight. you have to earn your win for there, i was almost contemplating whether it was too hard or not, but once it clicks, it clicks. there could be better indications for when you are actually making progress within an enemy's health bar though.

if you play through this game, try beating the prologue level with both characters. they play very differently from one another despite only one thing changing about them. i also didnt know how to save at first, so i had to restart the game because i accidentally started from the beginning, so honestly thats my main reason for replaying it, but im glad as it actually gave me a proper chance to really see this game through. talk to the robot outside of the store at the start of the game and listen to what it has to say all the way through. this game rewards patience and replayability.

incredibly strong opener, will give my thoughts on the dlc and edit this once i play it, if it started off this strong, im looking forward to what the dlc will offer!

i think it could also use more in game mouse utility, i forgot that you had to press E to start the round and i thought my game was messed up for a moment LOL

after beating the story mode for this game, i highly recommend it to anyone who wants one of the best single player shooter experiences in a video game.
ive been listening to podcasts where this game is talked about highly, which is what prompted me to purchase it in the first place. its been described as having the substance and the style of the game go hand in hand.
"the substance is the style" and thats honestly so true, this game is a perfect speedrun game that rewards you for replaying the levels over and over, bringing out the perfectionist within you.
this game is addictive start to finish, and despite beating the story mode (which offers an amazing take on how a narrative for a FPS game can be presented, fantastic mise-en-scene with top notch voice acting) i can see myself revisiting this game just to be able to wild out on the challenge levels the game offers.

parkour around a snowy forest as a badass ex-government-mercenary and level out a power fantasy that not many games offer you. you dont have to even be good at this game to have the sickest in game action sequences!

i havent been able to play games as often as i used to, and im glad i picked this one up out of everything i could have. please buy it whenever you can, the devs put LOVE into this. banger soundtrack also, it really gets you amped up.

ive legit had moments in this game where i felt adrenaline kick in from playing it, which was a fantastic experience.
