It's good. It's going to look even better in 4 years when everyone can run 4K ultra HD at 60 FPS with ease. Yeah it's got bugs on release, just like every other triple A open world game. Most are entertaining rather than game breaking. Also penis customization.

It's a free game with a huge amount of customization and a unique style you can't find elsewhere. New content all the time and a ton of exciting new things coming. It takes a bit to getting into but once the story hits full gear it's amazing and only leaves you wanting more. It's good alone but even better with friends.

There's too much shady ♥♥♥♥ going on here to recommend. Unfortunately the dev has invested in the wrong ideas/people and made poor business desicions.

There's nothing new, or original here. If anything it's a lackluster co-op horde mode wtih a confusing loot system stapled on for "depth". Everything seems to be inspired by a combination of Halo and Destiny and it doesn't even get the best parts of those right.

Settings don't save when you launch/exit game. Controls can't be rebound, and playing with a keyboard is just damn clunky. Would not recommend, I'm getting a refund.

Full disclosure: I received this game for free.

This is a turn based roguelike featuring giant mechas, it has a topdown perspective and you assemble a party of 4 from 6 different Mecha classes.

Good:
-Lots of tactical options.
You get a good selection of options for how you want to engage your enemies. Reprogram them to fight for you, stealth into melee range, AoE groups, deploy turrets and mines, or good ol fashion guns.

-Different commanders for different playstyles
At the beginning of the game you get to choose from 6 different commanders effectively the you in this game. Each one has a special bonus that is different enough that it will change the way you approach the game. Rather than just being a bonus to say shields or damage.

Bad:

Impact: The game suffers a complete lack of feedback when damage is concerned. Often time the game will have your current mecha take too much damage and instead of giving you any sort of feedback it's been destroyed the next turn starts and your next mecha is swapped in automatically.

Scaling:
The game has a terrible sense of scale. Your basic weapons take several hits to destroy an enemy unless you're using your best weapon. Meanwhile enemies frequently destroy your exo in 2 hits easily. This pairs with the problems of impact I listed above.

Retarded AI:
The AI literally has defects in this game. Which makes each enemy type follow a specific behavior. This is a fine idea on itself because it gives the player something to exploit, however it's so terribly implemented by having the robots constantly shout things about "Where'd you go?" "No no no, not that way". When they do kill you (And they will) you feel like your death is at the hand of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also making an enemy that can shoot at any direction in it's large range with OHKO missles and no indication of where it may target is ♥♥♥♥ game design.

So yeah long story short is the only way I've found to get through this game is by taking AoE and Snipers and just out ranging everything in this game. It's not fun, it's not challenging, it's tedious.

The game has some interesting idead but they're put together so haphazardly and the game suffers from good feedback and poor balance.

2/10.

Synopsis: It's a good game with a few minor nitpicks I have

PROS:
Combat feels fluid and fair at most points
5 Different characters that have enough distinction in playstyle
Creative use of the Transforming aspect
Random item generation keeps you looking for new weapons

CONS:
The parry/dodge time dilation from Bayonetta feels strange in a game about hulking metal robots.
A lot of the game mechanics including your characters stats are unclear to the point of being confusing to give you an example these are the stats for your character: STR, CRG, SPD, FRB, SKL, END, INT, & RNK.

They actually correspond to the old stat cards you got with the Hasbro toys. Faithful but confusing so

STR: Strength (Pretty self explanitory)
CRG: Courage (Ok...)
SPD: Speed (Easy enough to figure out)
FRB: Firepower (Yeah, 1 it's a typo, 2 FRP wouldn't explain anything either)
SKL: Skill (Easy enough)
END: Endurance (Fair)
INT: Intelligence (Not Integer)
RNK: Rank

Ok so you have these stats that you can boost throughout the game by fighting or spending XP on them. But what do they do you ask? The only way to find out is view the tips on the screen when you die.

STR: Increases health.
CRG: Increases defense and Ultimate Attack damage.
SPD: Increases vehicle mode power, Vehicle Attack damage, and Rush Attack damage.
FRB: Increases melee attack power and defense.
SKL: Increases ranged attack power and melee attack power.
END: Increases defense.
INT: Increases ranged attack power.
RNK: Increases number of available T.E.C.H. slots.

So yeah some minor gripes because beyond not knowing what these did it was really hard to tell if they were making any appreciable difference.

My only other gripe is while the voice actors are the originals for the most part something about their voices doesn't sound quite right. I get that theres been 20+ years since G1 and it could be the nostalgia talking but I find the voices to be just off enough that it bothers me. Soundtrack is good, not on the level of Revengeance but its good.

So aside from some minor gripes and bad documentation it's a solid game 9/10 if you're a fan and probably a 7/10 for anyone else.

The game plays well but it's easily beatable in under 2 hours, the "replayability" comes from tryihng to get a higher score and while it plays well nothing really gripped me enough to go back. The story is boring, and the graphics while 2d and clean just aren't up to the standards of classics like Metal Slug.

Good for an hour but not much past that. Might be worth it if you like grinding score.
