If Futaba has 1 million fans I am one of them.
If Futaba has 10 fans I am one of them.
If Futaba has 1 fan I am that single fan.
If Futaba has NO fans then I am DEAD.

Speaking from a purely Hero-Shooter gameplay perspective, that is, putting the "Goonerbait", extremely toxic community, and Ungodly horrendous matchmaking aside, this game actually makes you dumber.

At release the "Nothing is OP if everything in OP" design philosophy was kinda fun and a bit of a fresh air from Overwatch, but for a team based game it feels like teamwork and proper resource management just go out the window when one ult decides the entire teamfight. Not to mention the healing is so overtuned that the concept of risk and trading feels nonexistent. I don't like to compare the two games often but in Overwatch (and nearly every other Hero Shooter that I know of, in that matter), every single engagement or Ult usage requires thought, consideration and timing put into it before pressing that Q button otherwise you would almost always just feed and die. But in Rivals, the characters that are the current 'meta', - such as Namor, Bucky, Luna Snow, Invisible Woman, Loki, at the time that I played - could literally just play "I click button when it off cooldown and win teamfight" - the game, and win 90% of the teamfights.
What happens to the experimentation, the freedom of choosing other characters that you want to play but are not meta, the teamwork, the strategy, the countering if LITERALLY half the support roster's ults are Instant Win Buttons?? Not to mention having your team scream at you in the meantime cos you didn't play one of three heroes that are on some Twitch streamer's S tier list. The funniest part is they're not even wrong, you WILL lose half your games you play if you're playing ranked simply because you didn't choose the right hero, so I ask again, where's the counterplay?? Where's the strategy?? This game is basically just rock paper scissors but you're always forced to pick one and your opponent the other, while a group of toxic DPS players scream at you for a multitude of reasons.

I saw a recent clip of a streamer (I think it was TimTheTatman) returning to OW, playing Tank and talking about how he actually needs to think about his aggressive plays - "What do you mean the supports cant just heal me to full in 1 second when I overextend? I can actually die?", and I feel that perfectly encapsulates the current state of this silly game.
