Good addition to the series, however it does just feel like a reskin of civ5. I can get past that though because cool alien fun.

Pros:
.Alien fun
.A new outlook on the game due to resettling on an unknown world
.A new goal and new things to do compared to other titles in the series.

Cons:
.Reskin of the last game.
.AI are all alien loving hippies.
.Military units not very intuitive.

My biggest nit to pick with this game is I was expecting to fly into some ♥♥♥♥ yeah kill alien scum fun and reverse engineer weaponary or use them as bio weapons ! so far I have found nothing of the sort and am currently turtling in my base with 1 friend on my side who is only friendly because of a good trade route and all the rest of my race wanting to remove my head because I went full starship troopers on some manticores etc... that were bombarding my troops in my base.

Lesson learned from this game. If we ever have to teraform a new world with vicious aliens, sacrifice your children to the alien gods because fighting back is a hippy crime that must be paid with 100% hemp and vengeance.
