Somehow missing the humour and charm of earlier games and not really adding anything new. The only worthwhile addition is multiplayer but it doesn't make up for the complete lack of a proper campaign. The missions are pretty boring and just end up relying on your grinding your way to success.

Pathfinding is way worse in this game too (vehicles/people going through buildings and everything takes an absolute age to travel anywhere). El Presidente is pointless now - doesn't do anything and the only customisations are visual.

Played for 10~ hours during the free weekend but won't be buying it. I ended up just getting the missing DLC for Tropico 4 instead as that's my favourite of the series and still has replayability.
