I cannot express the measure of thought regarding the story that explores the rat's innate lust for blood among other quirks and passions targeted towards the virtuous yet corrupt cat. The self-referential humour reaches a head during the game in almost all of the levels leading the player wanting more action.
Bad Rats takes everything good about the franchise and elevates it. Almost every aspect is polished to a fine sheen, with a particular standout being the world itself, and the new emphasis on telling a mature and meaningful story that explores remarkably complex themes. Bad Rats sets a new bar for storytelling and world building in games, and transforms the rat from a one note character to a fascinating man with a story worth hearing. Considering the available price, this is candidly a must have title.
Bad Rats doesn’t just feel like the next step for the franchise, but for the entire video game industry. Phenomenal visuals, rewarding exploration, and a deep, nuanced combat system contribute to an epic adventure that should be experienced by every human on earth. In my conclusive thoughts, Bad Rats is to be crowned a king of complexity and master of the 'elaborate game' with multiple aspects of villainous characters alongside manifold levels and designs. Overall, this game brings artistic elements never seen by mainstream games and level designs and concepts are truly unique to the Bad Rats experience.
I rarely leave reviews; especially for games. But I wanted to show my love and support for Invent4 and Strategy First. This is by far the most visually stunning, emotionally capturing story game I have ever played. And without a doubt the best game I have ever played. Each individual who has worked on the game obviously has a passion for making games to the highest degree. In every frame you can tell just how much work has been put into this masterpiece. I’ve just completed the whole story and was gripped for the whole 100+ hours. There was no moment I didn’t want to continue further. The amount of stunning puzzles, sound effects, Easter eggs, and level design, yet they have managed to make each floor feel different and unique in their own right. I can’t say enough about this game. It grips your heart and throws your emotions up and down the walls. I don’t think we’ll ever see another game like this. Well done to everyone involved. I had to show my support and hope that everyone involved sees the support from the fans. <3
