Start with the bad:
-Match making needs to be fixed. Queue times are painful in a 5 man because it basically forces you to go against other 5 mans plus takes into account location (for ping purposes). It results in a lot of matches against the same people and drags timers out.
-There isn't a strong leaver penalty, so teams will dodge other 5 mans to just beat up on new players to pad their rank. This adds to the queue timer problem.
-Friends list is atrocious. Lots of bugs on getting people into a group. There are usually work-arounds once you learn them.

Good:
- The core gameplay is exactly what you want. High skill ceiling. Advanced tactics to learn and refine.
- Custom games will be added, so you can actually play directly against friends, no more queue sniping.
- The ships are varied enough between class and layout you can find what works for you. Most builds are viable if you're good with it.
- New ships being added
- Dogfight and Fleet Battle tactics can be very different. Fleet Battles rarely can have 1 person carry. Dogfights, 1 person can.
- In general for all the veteran XvT players, this is the game we've been waiting 20 years for.

Early Access Review
The game itself is fun. But the dev team has ruined the game. It was a grindy chore to get heroes and cards before and with the new patch they've only made it worse while increasing the limit on the cards. That means new players will only get destroyed even harder.

The game is fairly balanced among Heroes. It does have rock paper scissors moments, but that's why it's a team game. Strategy can beat a good player. The game modes are distinct from each other and each have different ways the team should be built. I have favorite heroes depending on the map or the team or even just what I feel like playing. The story modes are simple but still enough to learn abilities and just have fun with friends.

In general, I feel like there are 2 types of people who outright dislike the game. Those who jumped on Overwatch without playing this (they are different styles of games). And those who wanted Borderlands 3 and didn't really understand the goal of this game.

There are flaws, but I don't find them to be with the game itself. The community is small which does make bad queue times. That's a self fulfilling prophecy. People don't get it simply for a queue time so they never get better. The gear system does require some grinding, but unless you're playing at super high ELO gear doesn't matter. My friend just started playing and we've won more than we've lost.

In the end, play the game. It's fun, it has goals to work toward even though you can play just a game or two and not have to marathon it. Though you can do that too.

CS:GO Review
Back to classic CS. Source just felt different. This game feels like classic 1.5/1.6. Similar gun pulls, classic strat, less CoD bum rush and back to strategy.

Was this game even play tested? The concept is good, the art is great but the mechanics are ♥♥♥♥. You have 2 ways to win. Body/Fight and kill the king or Prestige. Rot victories are just relying on random cards to draw and spirit stones are just absolute randomness. I still like playing the game since I paid for it, but I regret paying for it all the same.

Wish there was more than a "Yes" or a "No". Do you want to play Magic? Buy the game. Do you want a bug free game? Don't. There are a lot of them. The rules don't apply 50% of the time at this point. Buy it for magic and you'll enjoy the game, you'll just get pissed off and close it often only to come back 20 minutes later to try again.

The controls feel slow and cumbersome. The deal breaker is the fact that you can't make private games, you can't invite friends to your games. You can only have them go through Steam to "Join Game" and that lags out and prevents you from connecting. I tried to host, my friend tried to host then we both uninstalled.

I'm aware that DOTA came before LoL and all other MOBAs. But this game is beyond being not user friendly. It's just frustrating. The shop is so cumbersome compared to League. Clicking on an item doesn't tell you what it builds into without first finding that end piece so trying to play smart about your build order is a pain.

Nothing is intuitive. I've been playing online games since Diablo on dial up and for the life of me I couldn't get my own build to come up on the in game panel. I got a list of 10 from Steam and that's it. No search feature, nothing. Maybe once you play a lot and know the game without tips it won't be a problem. I just don't see getting to that point with enough people to make it worth it. I have general builds for a lot of champions in LoL but I don't have every specific build order memorized, especially on my lesser played champs. If you memorize this game enough to know all your characters without a cheat sheet, go out side.
