Well... I don't know what kind of vote I should give on this one.
It started good and enjoyed it, but after a few hours is really boring and with a lot of issues at the end.
First of all on single player it's sooo hard even on Easy. After so many tries and tries and tries, the levels and all the game is the same thing again and again. The truth is I didn't expect something different than that, but if you think that you can complete all the achievements then you have to complete all the levels with all the characters. And that's not the bad thing. The bad thing is that the achievements are not stackable which means that you have to complete the game with all the characters on normal to get those chivos, and for the hard difficulty to play AGAIN the game. Really devs? Really??? For what? To make a game that needs triple the time to complete it and makes you think is a big game? I don't think so! After so many hours trying to finish on hard and realizing that I need to play it again on normal, it was a real pain in the a$$!!!
But that's not all... There are problems on achievement tracking system and also the save becomes glitchy so many times. I went till level 7 with a character and started from the beginning again, because the chivo track system, was stuck on level 3, TWICE! And I could't just repeat the level on the same save because in my save file it looks that I complete the achievement proccess till level 7! That made me keep a backup of my save every time I finish a bounty level from the fear that my save will become glitchy again.
But still that's not all. The chivos and the ingame unlocks are glitchy too!
I unlocked the achievement who needs to electrocute 6 enemies with one grenade and at the same time I got notification that I unlocked the golden electro-grenade ingame. Nope! Inside the stats, it's still locked because it ask to electrify 7(!) enemies at the same time! Tried to start a new save to get it, but seems that the save files are depending also to the achievements you unlocked already. So after a new save game, it start to show unlocked... locked weapons and skins, LMAO. I got the achievement but not the unlockable and I'll never will because that stupid mechanics the game has to save your progress.

Some positives for this game is the soundtrack. I loved it!
NewRetro tracks from Daniel Deluxe, Zombie Hyperdrive, Tokyo Rose and Dynatron. After a while it was repeatable and kinda boring to listen to it again and again the same tracks for hours but still, the soundtrack is TOP for this title.
Another plus is the couch co-op which makes the game so fun. If you're playing alone, find something better to do. If you have another friend and play on the same screen, is so fun!

Liked the horror style, the game is hard with a trial & error gameplay after a while, trying to memorize the location of the enemies, but sure it was a fun to play title!

The negative review it's because I tried to get all the achievements and I found out that the challenges chivos are glitched. In so many cases it didn't register the progress when I passed a level on challenges. Some of them only. The BAD thing was because I unlocked each one of challenges level and the game didn't register that, I wasn't able to play the challenges again on top because the levels were already unlocked and still didn't count because of that.
So I had to make a NEW save and play the game again from start, go until chapter 8 which is the only way to unlock the challenges, make a backup of the save at that point and start playing and playing again the same levels on challenge mode until the game register the progress of each level on the achievement progress bar. Didn't work? Restore the backup save and start unlocking again the challenges... And again... aaand again... until after a few hours I got the final one by accident when an enemy "pushed" me inside the locked door in a level I played over 13 times and I couldn't take the chivo while I was playing normaly all this time!!!

Overall it's a nice nerve-wrecking game and even if you play on Easy, it's still hard!

Fun to play, challenging, many different characters to choose, lots of different guns and many secret areas to discover! I really liked the game until the point I met some game breaking problems.
The game still has some serious issues but as I can see, the developers don't care about, because so many users reported those and still not a fix after two years.

Despite some small sound and graphical problems I didn't had any problem with the gameplay until I was almost at the end. Wanna get all the achievements? Nah, forget it. At least forget it if YOU don't want to do something about it. The chivo to get all the crates in some levels is glitched and even if you found them all, it doesn't register the achievement to unlock it. They are glitched and I found it out when I was almost at the end. The developers knew about this issue but still didn't care to do something about it. After searching the Discussions, the user Band Of The Hawk, wrote about a fix how to edit the game files and that helped me a lot. Thank you buddy!!! About that problem you can see the link above and how to solve it. So simple but still the devs didn't care to fix that.

The second game breaking bug for me it was when I almost was at the end of the game. One room before the final I made a save and the next time I tried to load it, made my game crash back to desktop. Over and over again. So I didn't knew the first time how to solve it and decided to play the game again from the beginning. And it happened also the second time on another part of the game. Totally random!
I managed to find a solution about that, a quick way how to pass the save crash with save editing (thank God, the save I needed it's not encrypted and to edit it with notepad it's a piece of cake), without playing the game again from start! You can read how easily you can to that, here!

So in a few words: FUN at the beginning, FRUSTRATING after a while. Be careful if you are a completionist! To get all the chivos READ the game discussions before start playing and fix the problems by yourself, because you won't get any help from the devs.
Shame!

A classic game with many humorous moments from the beginning till the end!
I recommend this game ONLY if you want to play alone or maybe Local Co-Op.
The Online Co-Op part of the game... well....uhmmm... SUCKS!
Many problems and bugs, makes the game almost unplayable on Online Co-Op.
