This is the first game review on Steam I've ever done. Because the game deserves it - and then some.

Expedition 33 is one of those one-in-a-decade examples of how storytelling in videogames should be done. Even now, with end credits rolled, I find myself stopping and thinking about the story, the characters, and the messages it wants to convey.

And convey them it does - characters are written, animated and voice acted unlike anything I've seen in my 30+ years of gaming and for me, the game literally sets the standard and puts the shame 99% of the AAA titles that are coming out these years.

Animation is flawless both visually and technically and music is just,... chefs kiss.

Go. Play. It. Now.

Even if you're not a fan of JRPG mechanics. Do it.

If I had to describe this game with one word, it would be "choice". You can choose to be anyone or to do anything and there are consequences to each of those choices. I love it. Best game in years.
