No worries, any card is good. I'm fine thanks! Spending the holidays in Italy with the family.

*second post is first post*

i didn´t have much problems to get through the game (this far). there are some tougher parts but it is all manageable. i had some problems with the second boss (grinded a bit to get one more health point - that fixed it) but other than that it was pretty straight forward, even with the bosses. you die - but not all the time, the checkpoint system is pretty forgiving too. that being said, i think i am now very close to the final boss and the game is beating the crap out of me xD...overall though, i think this game is really accessible and has just the right difficulty for most gamers. if you´re on the fence, wait for the obvious steam sale but imo this game is totaly worth playing. i love it. :summerghost:
Mhooky 5 Jul, 2014 @ 7:14am
it is not an easy game but also not very difficult. it is not one of these superhard indies like 1001 spikes. it´s not as hard as the old mega man games but it also isn´t a walk in the park. the controls are very precise though making it a joy to play. if you die, it´s not frustrating at all, you just respawn and keep playing. you can pick up your dropped cash at the spot you died. nice system. a bit like in dark souls.
Pwndius_Pilatus 5 Jul, 2014 @ 2:35am
What exactly is Shovel Knight? A hard core platformer or is it also for not so skilled ppl? :crow:

consider it done :D

No idea if its on any other format but PC, but it will turn your mouse into a lethal weapon with only two buttons.
Mhooky 26 Jun, 2014 @ 12:06pm
haha, is this one also out for android? looks like it would make perfect sense. i just bought a new phone so might pick it up on there instead...will check that right now.

Re: One Finger Death Punch. Just take my word for it and get it. Don't even wait. =P
Mhooky 21 May, 2014 @ 12:59pm
nope, not yet and i don´t think that i will in the next few years tbh. i haven´t noticed any problems with any of the games that i have played in 1080 p or even 1440p. pretty happy with the performance of my system. even arma III which is pretty demanding for the cpu runs well. at this point, i´d rather downgrade :D
monkeygourmet 21 May, 2014 @ 11:16am
Are you going to upgrade your CPU? Seems like a few new titles are looking for the I7 loving! ;)
Mhooky 17 Apr, 2014 @ 11:23pm
II.: i now play with M/K and inverted the attack options it works really good but the game has indeed a learning curve - once it clicked, the game is amazing though. there are many things to take care of in this game but it´s not as keyboard heavy as arma...it´s basically W A S D E sometimes F and Q plus Shift and Space.
i hope that this game will get a demo or a free weekend. it needs more players and it deserves more players. and yeah MP only.
OK off for the holidays now. :AxeNSword::saxonshield::vikinghelm:

I. :
it was in when i bought it but i could only check it out for a day or so, then a patch erased the pad support and it still isn´t in yet. the devs said on their steam forum that they wanted to integrate it again but that it does not have priority. it was playable with the pad but it felt weird. you basically have to block and attack in different directions so the thumbsticks basically worked for the swings, you had to push right stick left plus RT button to attack left, right plus RT button to swing right etc. then you have to charge swings too...it worked but felt strange - i didn´t have much time with it though. it just controlled differently to everything that i have played before.
monkeygourmet 17 Apr, 2014 @ 9:20am
Hey dude, has War of the Vikings got 360 pad support? If it has, is it very playable like that? Also is it multiplayer only? Hope you are well, cheers in advance!

Mhooky 4 Feb, 2014 @ 5:13pm
have chosen a different mobo btw because it´ll allow me to sli or crossfire later if needed. have the MSI Z87-G45 now. i like the msi bios. it´s really noob friendly :) superhappy with everything about this machine this far.
Mhooky 24 Jan, 2014 @ 12:36pm
alright :)

destinypc is just a supertiny little chance. just a rumor. probably means nothing...but i choose to believe in it.

CyberMarco 24 Jan, 2014 @ 11:42am
Count me in for BL2 then! ;) Is Destiny coming to PC??
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 4:52am

"The bottom line is that the GeForce GTX 780 Ti offers a very appealing power consumption-to-performance ratio. The new Radeon R9 graphics cards gain ground on Nvidia, but they're nowhere close to catching up."

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-780-ti-review-benchmarks,3663-17.html

pretty solid in idle mode, so basically i'm good......if i don't play games :)
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 4:26am
upps, didn't think about that tbh...
aero 23 Jan, 2014 @ 4:18am
payments btw
aero 23 Jan, 2014 @ 4:16am
i guess you need to adjust your powerbill paymants right away ^^
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 3:57am
haha! i did it! ftw and all that...
aero 23 Jan, 2014 @ 3:56am
u r crazy man!
CyberMarco 23 Jan, 2014 @ 3:49am
Good to hear you got everything sorted out. I'm sure you are going to love it! ;) Very elegant case btw, with great air flow and cable management.
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 3:42am
so case will even be the thermaltake urban s41. not really sure about the sata modules but mobo received good reviews. it's not the fanciest, but i'm not planning sli on it or anything. it looks like it's a solid solution and i have to save some cash somewhere :) made a deal with the guys i ordered from before and i'm pretty happy now. i've spent a little more than i initially planned but they gave me 99€ off, build in a wifi card for free and gave me a free case upgrade...they promised to deliver in 5 days.................!
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 2:19am
sorry accidentally delted last post 'cuz i wanted to add the alternative case...it's not overclocked already. i just took it from the pages description. it's prolly just a reference for oc options. Will check the sata modules. thx again :)
Mhooky 23 Jan, 2014 @ 2:10am
I'm planning to skip the next gen consoles completely (not WiiU-love that thing) but i'm a very dedicated gamer and i always thought about going back to PC. That's why i've been thinking to myself that i should really start it off full force. Why not. I love gaming. It can be expensive, sure, but it pays you back with some superb escapism and plain awesome entertainment. These specs are now written in stone. Don't ask for the price...No regrets. NextGen starts here.

24x DVD
Windows 8,1 64
Water Cooling Antec H20 650
CoolerMaster B700 Black PSU
120GB SSD
1TB HDD SATA-III
8GB DDR3-1866 RAM
MSI Z87-G43 GAMING Mobo incl. Wifi Card
Cooler Master CM 693 +Window Case or Thermaltake Urban S31 MIDI Tower
Nvidia Geforce GTX 780Ti
Intel Core i5 4670K @4,2
CyberMarco 23 Jan, 2014 @ 2:10am
What a beast! Great PC, but 1 thing, why OC it out off the bat? I'm sure it will have a great performance on stock speeds. Other than that, you are ok. Also, the Corsais H80i is a nice watercooling solution too, with some extra monitoring features and a 2nd fan.

I'm not sure about this, but check if the SATA modules of the mobo are "native" and not 3rd party (Marvel etc), so you'll have a quicker boot. (by skiping some boot screens that is)
Mhooky 22 Jan, 2014 @ 11:40am
i know i7 isn't really needed but it's an already built system and it doesn't hurt :) i think i will go for it if i can get it for 1250€. i'm checking reviews for the parts right now and compare prices. looks like a fair deal this far.
i'm on vg247 holidays atm.
CyberMarco 22 Jan, 2014 @ 11:18am
It's an overkill that's for sure! xD
I don't think an i7 is necessary for gaming (only). Why don't you drop over the VG24/7 forums for more info?
Mhooky 22 Jan, 2014 @ 11:13am
Posting all this only for myself probably :)

I just cancelled my orders because i had trouble with the online-shop i ordered from.
I now decided to go crazy.
These are the specs in mind, it's a pre-build system:

Intel Core i7 4770K @ 4,5GHz
8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
1TB SATAIII 6GB/s
NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 3D 3GB
ASUS Quad GPU Mainboard Z87 + Wifi Card
SATA3 + USB3.0 + HD Audio
Win 7 or 8 included
Sexy NZXT H230 Case/ White

Trying to get all this for 1250€ atm. Guy asks for 1350€
...Beast specs 4 sure. Fair price too imo.
Mhooky 19 Jan, 2014 @ 1:28pm
thanks. i believe it was one of my better ideas. really looking forward to it. i'm coming from the commodore 64, so basically i'm only returning to the mothership :)
CyberMarco 19 Jan, 2014 @ 1:04pm
Welcome to the club then! :tgrin:
Mhooky 19 Jan, 2014 @ 4:44am
the final stuff will arrive early next week. can´t wait!

like i said it´s a midrange build but i believe it´ll be fine for the next 2 years with decent settings for most games. i´m not a grafx ♥♥♥♥♥, never was. i can always upgrade the gpu later if i think it´s necessary.

final specs are:
i5 3470 @3,8
nvidia geforce gtx 660
8gb ddr3
asus p8h77 - I mobo
2tb sata 3
win 8
cooler master 600w psu and cooler master 212 evo

everything wrapped in a bitfenix prodigy case in white. it´s not a huge case but big enough for future upgrades. i wanted something smaller but with decent upgrade potential.

also bought a siberia gaming mouse and will try to game on my apple keyboard :) i also still have my ol´wired 360 pad.

all in all - nothing too fancy - but i think the parts really match quite well and will give me a good overall gaming experience for a while.
Mhooky 8 Jan, 2014 @ 4:06pm
to everyone @ vg247: dead serious. bought into a decent midrange pc now. will be good enough for a while. got a case with some room left for future upgrades. struggled for quite some time with these consoles and the business policy behind them, not feeling the nextgen systems. you know that blues. will have to wait a few more days but it´s happening. excited! polygem
