Elite is a game that is not for everyone. You will either like this game or you won't, but for me it is my #1 MMO. If you are coming into this game expecting an all encompassing story, I hate to tell you, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a massive space game that is more "Realistic" when it comes to the grandeur of the galaxy and you just want to get lost...then this is definitely for you. This is a "make your own story" game and it's different for every player.

Major Elite tips:
-This game is better with friends. The community adds tons of depth to the game.
-The Grind can be real...if you let it. Don't focus on one task too long...set multiple tasks and do what ever feels fun at the time.
-There is a looooot of things to do, and you are in no hurry to do any of it.
-Just fly...if you have had a bad day and you just need to shut down...just fly in the black and explore. Go see all the sights.
-This game goes on sale quite regularly (At the time of posting this review you can get the whole game for $9.99 and i have seen it sell for less.)
-If you can get a HOTAS (Flight Stick and Throttle) do so, it totally revolutionized the game for me. I hear VR will to but I haven't tried it yet.

I love this game, if you are on the fence wait till it goes cheap and give it a whirl and don't be over whelmed with the starting learning curve. I all lines out quickly.

Had some potential, but abandoned right out of the gate. Play Stellaris instead and get the New Horizons mod from the workshop. 100X better Star Trek game with actual development.

A neat little game that i enjoyed a lot. Takes about 3 hrs to complete, but that's fine, it's still good. Nice atmosphere!

I am a day one player that started on PS4. When this game released I am not going to lie, I was a little disappointed. Mostly I was disappointed with the planet environments. The space content was better but still lacked something. The universe size was spot on, but overall the game was lack luster and boring. I told myself there is something here...it's rough but my gut told me to stick it out. Fast forward 8 years and a transition to PC...and this game is absolutely nothing like it was. There is now sooooo much to do, the worlds are so much more vibrant. You can now make your own story and everything looks like you are in a 1970's SciFi Artwork. No Transactions in sight, a mountain of free content that just keeps on coming. I would gladly pay for new DLC but Sean keeps on throwing content at you as fast as he can. (Come on Sean, we forgive you. Take my money.)

Buy the game...it's super good now!!

I am happy to support the team for making a fabulous game......the wooden decking is just icing on the cake.

Early Access Review
Update: Over 6 months later and we still know nothing more then that the Kerbal IP has been sold to an unknown buyer. The fact that Steam still has this listed as early access and in development at a game complete price is an abomination. The listing should at least state that development has stopped.

(Important) Right off the bat this is one of my most wished for games and despite the Rocky Early Access I was actually liking what I was seeing and was very looking forward to future development.

(The Hard Truth) I am not a big fan of Take 2 Disbanding the development team and not being clear as to the future prospects of the games development other then a vague "Updates will continue". Letting days pass with no updated information while the community burns. So because of Corporate Non-Transparency, and Not the Development team that had to loose their jobs, I am currently giving this game my First NO for recommendation. (I will reverse this recommendation if further information is provided as to the future prospects of the game!!)

I want this game to further develop, I want it to turn into the game I was promised back in 2019, I was hopeful for what I was seeing so far! if Take Two cancels this game it will forever be a black mark to me on any further purchases of games published be Take Two.

Come clean and prove me wrong Take 2, stop this Non-Transparent Corporate Nonsense, and come clean on what your plans are!!

Edit: I would like to add I would not classify this game as horror, it is more like "Retro Supernatural". I get a strong Electric State / Tales from the Loop feel from it. Very cool!!

So I am an older guy who likes dad games like Euro Truck and American Truck Simulator. I have no problem with a game having a little open mindless driving...this helps me relax after a long day at work. But unlike driving a long hauler down the open road, you are driving and maintaining Ecto 1 while driving through the Electric State, and spicy Cuckle Burs are flying at your car and Garbage piles are exploding and grabbing your car and slinging you into trees.

To say this game is unique is an understatement, but I really enjoy it. Especially the crafting and car maintenance between runs. Can it be a little repetitive...yeah a little, but the atmosphere and variety of surprise issues makes up for it. I really hope Ironwood comes out with more content for the game...I kinda want to stay in the drive longer.

I will be watching Ironwood Studios closely for future projects.

Early Access Review
I heard of this game on a whim and thought, oh god another asset library built money grab. I ended up being talked into getting it when my online friends wanted to give it a try and I am prone to cave when it comes to multiplayer.
What I didn't expect was to find a well made, well optimized, and rather addicting game that isn't afraid to make fun of itself. The map is beautiful and detailed and extremely fun to explore. If Pokemon and Ark had a baby it would be Palworld.
The only thing that some people might have a problem with is this game is not sugar coated. There is mass enslavement, mass violence, "animal abuse", you know...just like Pokemon. Even humans are not immune to the "Pal Spheres" as you can enslave and "♥♥♥♥-fight" them too.
If you are looking for a fun level grind game that makes it addicting instead of a chore with a rather detailed "Automation" and survival element then look no further.

Did I add that this Early Access game plays better then most of the recent AAA titles that are being released.

10/10 would shoot a "I can't believe it's not Pikachu" in the face again.
