It's a beautiful sim with great controls and support. The single-player action feels great. Driving around tracks in the cars is a blast, and a steering wheel is all but required.
The campaign left me wanting for more, as it is just a series of pre-set races with no flavor.
If you are to drop straight into the multiplayer, it is a mess. Most every race usually devolves into a wreckfest. You can go out and find a nice community online who takes it seriously however.
The real fun kicks in when you use both a VR headset and a racing wheel. It is THE best VR experience I've had thus far.
Overall, it is a great sim racer, and would recommend to all interested in the genre.

For as old as this is, it has great dev and community support. This is the definitive Trackmania game to get.

It's not perfect by any definition. Unfair spawns, pretty narrow progression, and buggy online multiplayer are things that you will deal with. BUT, I adore this game. I have had so much fun playing skirmishes with the AI, as well as many LAN parties with people to play together in a long sitting. I would highly recommend the expansions as well, as they add much-needed balances and features to the gameplay.

A lot of fun to play alone, but even more so online with people. Knocking monsters around is a great time.
