Really enjoying this after not loving the demo. I don't dig how the character moves BUT I got used to it and realized it's not really a souls, it's more mashy and less punishing. The weapons look cool, the vibes are INTENSE and the music is moody af. I think they deserve all the ribbing in the world for their "WE AIN'T GONNA HOLD YOUR HAAAAAAAAND" stuff at the top but in execution, it works. Looking forward to finishing it up.

I quite enjoyed this Metroidvania. Looks amazing, the mix of future military and demons is cool, feels good to play. Some of the skills you can get kinda break the game and remove a lot of the back and forth of a Mvania...but honestly I don't care. Loved being able to teleport around the map looking for trinkets. Story is whatever and too wordy but you can skip a good portion of it so yay! First 2025 game I beat.

Extremely good take on the modern X-COM genre. Fun setup, plays great, runs solid on the Deck, well worth picking up for some turn based 50% hit times.

Perhaps the strongest of the Stardews. Lots of quality of life improvements, does everything you want. Don't love the art but hey, don't love it in Stardew either andthat game might be in my top 10. I always crave NEW so after 100+ hours of Stardew I'm not going back anytime soon but I'll play updates of that formula until Kingdom come.

Never clicked with me on PlayStation but runs great on the Deck, having a good time. Less Mvania than you'd think, much more of a "move forward, maybe see what's off to the side" and honestly, that's just plain great.

Pretty enjoyable VS-like. A lot of nice animations. Feels a little slippery at times but like most of these, you are always leveling up some sort of stat so it's not a problem if you die 20 seconds earlier than you would've. Fun!

Really enjoyable vaporwave, (small) open world, murder investigation with KILLER music. The demo turned me off initially with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-y writing (mostly from Shinji) and character designs that felt like they were trying too hard BUT once i settled into the groove of the game, all that was in the rear-view.

There's some minor aesthetic, UI and sundry annoyances (tip: turn off voices after a couple of hours) but I actually sat down to beat the game and thought about playing it during the day, which is a lot more than I can say for nearly every other game I've played for the past couple of years.

A sweet, charming game. It's short but you can play around on the island looking for stuff if you want. Beat it on a couple of Sunday mornings, perfect for that.

Fantastic. Two of my favorite moments from games in 2019 are in this one.

It's a little rough around the edges but also one of the most impressive debuts I've ever seen.
