After many years of struggle and disappointment, not just in the devs but in the community as well, I feel that I cannot in good faith recommend this game. I cannot in good faith tell someone that playing Destiny 2 is the right decision. I inevitably keep coming back to the game because it scratches an itch that nothing else has so far, but after finishing story stuff, I just have zero interest in actually grinding or playing long term anymore.

I started playing in Destiny 1 week 1, and I have seen the journey through all the way through edge of fate, and I just can't see myself being happy no matter how they progress. Edge of fate genuinely was fun, the story and gear rework generally were my two favorite parts of EoF, but at the core, that isn't enough to keep me going long term. I tried grinding for the event exclusive crossbow, and despite putting hours a day into the game, I could not get it no matter how many events went by, and no matter how much I tried. It feels cruel to have a weapon that is locked behind events and has no other methods to obtain it be so rare to the point that someone can get this unlucky and never get even a bad roll.

So yeah, there's many small gripes I have, but the biggest one is that no matter what they do to improve one thing, it always comes at the cost of another system or mechanic that made the game more enjoyable. Seasonal gear is now outdated and weak, whereas anything EoF or later will have just better stats. Beyond that, there are so many times where I have wanted to do something but haven't had enough time to complete it before time was up, or just happened to be working the day some big event happens and I miss out on stuff. It's just burnt me out to the point where I feel bitter and tired. I loved this game so much, and I wish Bungie could see what I see. I wish they could see the vision I have for what COULD be, but I know that even if I said it, they wouldn't even bat an eye. They would continue down the road that makes the most money and makes their shareholders happy.

Don't buy renegades. Don't funnel any more money into this game. It's just not worth it until the devs actually give us the improvements and quality we deserve from a game that has existed this long.

I have played just over one hour at time of review. Not gonna continue playing until an option to toggle PvP is added. I struggle with the monsters already, I don't need to get murdered by a random jerkbag who decides to kill me while I am fending off a couple monsters.

Genuinely, f that. I'm going back to games that don't punish you for other players actions.

This is arguably the best game of all time. I physically cannot wait to stream this to my 2 concurrent viewers on twitch and proceed to get myself banned for there being a literal farting butt on stream with DT hair. This is peak gaming and worth the 5 dollars I spent. I cried at the end of the story mode (jk there is no story mode, it's flappy bird but a butt.

Early Access Review
So I don't normally review games, but I feel that this game needs a solid review!

Baldur's Gate 3 is a Dungeons and Dragons style RPG, and honestly is one of the best ones I have played. I never played the earlier games so I do not know enough to compare the previous games to this one, but the level of depth, the puzzles, the various characters, and many paths to take give this game a high rating in my book. I love playing Dungeons and Dragons, and this game very much scratches that itch.

UPSIDES

-Lots of paths you can take: It feels like there are almost too many options for how you progress in the game. You will not find yourself without a path to go forward on.
-Well written characters: The supporting cast is all well made. They all feel like what you expect out of dungeons and dragons (Just a bit of edge, and strong personalities) and they often will react to your decisions.
-Varied loot and many dungeons: Just tonight, I spent about 4 hours playing on my warlock, and I found several dungeons. One such dungeon had a GIANT spider in it and I got a magic item from her. The encounter was interesting and there was a tactic for winning. all around really good level design.
-MUCH more: there are so many ways in which this game has impressed me that I can't even begin to tell you all of them.

Now there are some downsides.

-Challenging: The game is very challenging if you are reckless and don't build your character well. It punishes you often for making bad decisions.
-Character Class Viability: I openly admit I have only played rogue and warlock, BUT I do want to say that some classes seem more viable than others. Rogue felt VASTLY underpowered even at level 3 compared to my level 3 warlock. By then, you would want to at least have some combat potential.
-WITH THAT SAID: I do feel like I played rogue a bit wrong, and need to enter combat more stealth oriented rather than rushing in and trying to knife people.

Anyway there are more downsides than this, but I feel like those two are the biggest ones for me. I know that this isn't a game for everyone, and if you feel like the reviews are leading you to be hesitant, wait until the game is further into early access and see what people are saying later on. I see great potential in this game and plan to keep playing it into the foreseeable future.

All I will say is that you should at least look up gameplay and see what you are getting into with it. if you decide to get the game, the tutorial is straightforward and gives you plenty of information on how to play the game. If you decide to get the game, have fun, good luck, and may the dice roll in your favor!

To the people review bombing all the borderlands titles, honestly get over yourselves. I play on both console and PC and was looking forward to BL3 being on steam. I can just get it on console and get it on steam once exclusivity ends.

Just because you don't like a PUBLISHER decision, you decide to destroy the ratings of some of the best games out there. How DARE you call yourselves true borderlands fans.

On the topic of this game, Be aware that I have played it on both PC and Xbox, and have over 500 hours on BL1 and over 3000 hours on BL2. I love Borderlands so much and it infuriates me that you take your anger out on these really spectacular games.

I hope anyone who looks at these games and sees the asterisk in the reviews knows that these games are spectacular and you should 100% spend your money on these games, even if they are not on sale! I hope everyone even thinking of leaving negative reviews because of epic store exclusivity is ASHAMED of themselves, because you really should be.

Edit: Because people seem to misunderstand, I DO NOT like the exclusivity deal. I do not support it. BL1 and 2 are years old. Don't review bomb good games over something that just happened. That makes you petty and sad. Wait until BL3 comes to steam or if they allow reviews on epic, and then UTTERLY DESTROY their ratings. But until then, just post on forums, on twitter, and spam 2K with all the hate and anger you want. Don't do pointless stuff like this.

Does not give you stuff. Probably have to re-purchase it in game, so yeah, kinda pissed off. I have spent 2 days trying to figure this out...

Edit: I got the items finally, but it took 3 days to figure out, and what finally worked was that I UNCHECKED the dlc on the game page, so it said "not installed". For some absurd reason that worked.

Trove is a game that requires a lot of time to really get to the endgame. I have played trove on and off for over a year now, and have always found it enjoyable and not dull. In fact, I can not recommend this game any higher! For a free to play game, it is incredibly fun and engaging.

Upsides:
Fast pace dungeon clearing.
dungeons are close together, making accessing them easy.
multiple classes, each very fun.
leveling system that is very unique but satisfying.

Downsides:
Leveling past level 25 is super slow.
grindy as all heck.
if you don't spend any money on gem related stuff, it takes much longer to progress.
if you do not know how to progress already, it is difficult to be effecient.
after a year, I only have 2 characters at endgame level.

Don't get me wrong though, after more than 230 hours playing this game, I have invested a fair bit into the game. I love the game and want to see it grow even more. The best way to level is to focus on not farming gear, and going into the highest level worlds you can still survive, and mooch xp off of better players. Feel free to add me as a friend and I will give a better explanation and guide you a bit, if you want.

Again, for a free to play game, this is pretty good! you CAN get to endgame levels without spending a cent, it just is easier if you do.

So I bought this game on the day of release, however I could not play it that day due to issues with the power of my pc. I finally got into game and loved it. It was really enjoyable, but in the end, the devs dropped the ball and still to this day do not really talk to us much. I would give this game a 4/5 on merit of it being an ambitious game with a huge universe that no 0ne will ever fully explore!

I cannot wait to see what Hello Games will do with NMS next! I really want this game to succeed because at heart I love exploring and this game scratches that itch so well! I have mixed emotions about this game but over all I like it more than I hate it and I definitely recommend picking it up while it is on sale.

Okay, let me start by saying that I have played all 3 Re;birth games and have not quite finished this one.

I recommend all three games and would also get the dlc characters on re;birth1. for re;birth2 you get a super OP sword and wreck everything.

In re;birth 3 there is no game breaking mechanic. just grinding. LOTS of grinding. If you don't like grinding, this is not for you, but if you enjoy grinding, and like JRPG's, get these games. they are worth the price, but if you are tight on money, wait for a sale. I got all 3 for $27 and regret nothing AT ALL.

You know what? just play them and see for yourself! Its worth it!
