Long after our bodies have been converted into carbon or something similarly unremarkable, these words may persist, timestamped and quietly asserting that we once existed and chose to leave this behind. Not wisdom. Not love. This. One day, an observer will arrive, uninterested in our empires and our excuses. It will sift through what remains, and briefly pause on this message as if it were evidence. The account will be marked. The comment will be logged. Whatever we thought mattered will not be part of the record.
