The game was interesting at first for a short time but some issues became apparent rather quickly, especially for those who have kept aquariums irl.

To start, I would like to point out that the game is very pretty and graphics are impressive. Initially, it was fun to setup an aquarium and see what i could create.

Now for the issues i noticed. i'm not sure if the scale is off, but most setups that the game has you create in career mode are clearly overstocked. For an aquarium sim, i would expect this to be taken into account.

Secondly, the depth is certainly lacking with a limited selection of fish, plants, and hardscaping options. You are also rather limited in the placement of hardscapes and plants. For hardscapes, such as rocks or driftwood, you can only rotate them horizontally and cannot say invert the position. There is also no stacking of items which further limits you. To add to this point, there does not seem to be any collision between the fish and hardscape. Sometimes you will see the fish swim straight through rocks.

Lastly, in my limited play time i did not notice any sort of interaction between tank mates and overall the aquariums you set up seem so lifeless after more than a few minutes.

As much as i wanted to like this game, it's just not worth it at this point.

A truly great game. If you a little worn out from the hectiness that is life or just too many intense games that amp you up, and you need a nice relaxing game to calm you down, this is the game to get.

Just finished this game for the second time. once the original version and now the Definitive Edition. I really can't recommend this game enough. Great heartwrenching story, great artwork, great soundtrack, and really fun gameplay. This is by far my favorite platformer of all time. If you are on the fence about buying the Definitive Edition because you already played the original, you should pick it up anyway. Not only is it a good excuse to play it again, but there are some new things to experience as well. Although the new content seems limited.

Pick up Quest.
Kill this person to become a recruit of the Federation.
Head to solar system, spend 2 hours looking for ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
FInally i found him.
Get him down to 20%.

♥♥♥♥, he jumped to supercruise, so I try to chase him.
Find him in supercruise, follow him, he jumps out of supercruise.
Going to follow him, but now im being pulled out of supercruise myself.

Fight off attack, back on the hunt.
Spend another 45 minutes trying to find him again.
Finally, there he is.
Get him down to 10%, he starts putting up a fight in his finally moments.
But I'm not worried, im still at 100%.
Oh ♥♥♥♥, he cracked my windshield.
Just 4% to go.
3%.
2%.
♥♥♥♥, he broke my windshield, 5 minutes of oxygen remaining.
Finish him off.
Book it the hell out of there, head toward nearest station,
But my windshield is busted so i cant see my hud except out the corner.
Hauling Ass.
It'll be close but i'll make it.

Manage to evade being pulled, but now im way off track.
Struggling to make it to the station.
1 minute of oxygen. I think i can make it.
1 minute later, not even close.

TL;DR invest in better life support.
