Quite possibly my most favourite game!
The MODS add sssooooooo much to this game and just make me keep coming back for more.
You can create pretty much any society that you want: Cannibal Cave Dwellers? Yes, Tribal Weed Smokers? Er yes please!, Warrior Robot Pigs hell bent on destroying everyone? Yes and very fun, A loner who breeds Bears for protection? might try this now. Anything you want!!!

The game principle is a great idea.
The map generator, for the most, is brilliant. The ability to generate a map from any place on the globe is awesome. I've spent most of my time on the game going in and out of different areas of the globe looking around.

I wont go into everything but for me the game is Early Access for a reason, with one major flaw.
This game needs a lot of tweaks, however the most pressing thing (for me anyway) is there isn't a game end. Now i get that we build a small group up from nothing into a small town but that's it...... You just do the same stuff day after day,, workers up they gather, teams out looting, night time = infected, repeat. And whilst this can be fun, it also gets boring, quickly. Why would i/you start a new game? (unless its to play around on the map generator......again)
Even a small thing like having an area on the map that you need x,y,z before you can access. You need to research, build, progress up to to have an ultimate goal (an end). It could be anything, but at the moment there is honestly nothing to keep me playing the same colony for an exorbitant amount of time or to try a new colony with another way to win (or lose). I get to a point in every play through so far and think "whats the point in continuing this colony?" (and iv'e done this more than i can count).

One that needs a little more cooking to be awesome in my opinion.

There is good and bad with this game.

Its a Rugby Management game
You can add yourself as a player (if you wanted to), you can also make yourself a World Class player, along with anyone else you want to create. Why this is an option in a normal game is beyond me. A team of World Class players in 4S - Sure!!! You can get around International call ups by making them all different nations too - Hurrah!!
The amount of ill discipline by any/all players on your team is insane!! You are guaranteed at least one will be banned for getting slaughtered each week, and another will be late for training and be banned.
Navigation of screens is not friendly and i was constantly saying F*c* Sake when i was trying to get to somewhere and back again.
Internationals are played but i couldn't focus in on the game and see players, scorers etc.
The player buying system just got on my nerves
Its like playing a very early version of CM, hopefully it gets as good as them someday. But now ..... no..... tried for a refund but apparently over 2 hours is too long. Lets see what this superhuman team does .
Stay clear.....for now.

I was really looking forward to this game.
What isn't there to like? Superheroes, Supervillians, Turn Based (which i enjoy)!
However i just couldnt enjoy the dialogue, which is a large part of the game (so far). Tony Starks voice just grated on me instantly. So much so i stopped playing.
The game just feels like a mobile game that they needed to move over to pc to get the cut scenes looking great (and they are awesome)
Got a refund after an hours play

I was interested in buying the board game but thought that, as its quite a serious payout, i thought this may be a cheaper alternative. I tend to play solo games, as i don't have the social group to play these type of games.

So from 18 hrs in game, i thought i should write a review:
Before you purchase this game, ask yourself these questions?
Do you like repeating the same missions, over and over?
Do you enjoy failure?
Do you enjoy a low grind to level up characters, with no obvious benefit when you do finally level up?
Do you enjoy completely random attacks, where you could do zero damage more than once a game?
Do you like the idea that random events, before you get to your mission, could and do severely impair you and your team?
Do you want to shake your head in exasperation every 2 minutes?

If you have the inclination or social group to play this, it may be a laugh and a good time. You will more than likely still fail EVERY mission, but you can have a beer and a laugh whilst doing it!

There are a lot of brilliant concepts in the game, don't get me wrong. But even on 'Friendly' mode (which i'm told in game should be a walk in the park) i fail at least 90% of missions. I can accept failure but seriously, how hard should a game be if even on the most easiest setting is near on impossible! Its getting to the point that i cant be bothered to continue, as i see no end goal. I still only have 4 classes to chose from so i cant even mix it up and lose a different way.

If this is a true rendition of the board game, i'm glad i saved some money!

Firstly, if you do want to get this game, get it on a sale - minimum 50%

I don't write many reviews but i felt that this needed one.

The Cons far outweigh the Pros. So iv'e just listed them

Cons
* Not truly Open World - as many have mentioned don't expect a Skyrim.
* The main mission is too short & not enough side missions. Even with all of the side missions iv'e maxed out at 29 hours. (That was even messing about working out stuff)
* The graphics - from a new £50 title id expect cutting edge, alas no. Its on par with Fallout 4 (which in its day looked quality), now it just looks ..... meh.
* Guns / Armour are pretty much all the same - i never felt "individual" or look how i want to look, and for an RPG that's what i want to do. I don't want to look like my companion!
* Same enemies - ON EVERY PLANET!
* Still has bugs - i chose to be a man - facial hair etc. Whole game i was referred to as a woman!
- Peoples faces cutting off when in dialogue.
* You finish the main mission - game ends - no continuing on

This isn't all of it but things that really struck a nerve

Re-playable? Not to me, i don't care enough about the companions, story or the world to venture back in. Compared to Skyrim (which i base all open world RPGs against) this is a B movie, and not one that you can sit though because its so bad, that its good

Ive had a lot of enjoyment from this game, BUT! i dont know wtf has happened but it is now unplayable and keeps crashing

Edit: Worked out that my virus protection was stopping the game thinking it was a virus. No issues now and back to getting my race on!!
