Star wars has been a part of my life since as long as i can remember.

This game has its flaws dont get me wrong but overall its a great game! The story was refreshing and at times had me on the edge of my seat. Collecting all of the cosmetic items was not a priority but even without trying i got majority of them just by exploring as i would in any other game. The combat is fine overall but in the beginning swinging the lightsaber was kinda lackluster. Near the end though it feels satisfying.

I understand the main character is not a full jedi and is still leanring to use the force but i would have liked to see some more interesting force powers then what we got. The music is top notch as always in a star wars franchise. Honestly excited to see another game come out if they do make one.

Ive been a fan of fighting games for a long time. I played Tekken when it first came out and have been playing SF for many years. Recently ive been playing a bunch of Dragon Ball Fighterz and have loved everything about that game except for the netcode at times.

Guilty Gear Strive fixes that issue!. This game has the best netcode in a fighting game ive ever seen. I have played against people with 400ms so far and with the rollback feature it felt like we were playing in the same room.

Ive never played a guilty gear game before but so far this seems to be intricate enough where its east to play but hard to master. Combos arent so much of a thing from what i can see but the fundamentals of the game is where its at. The fundamentals of fighting games is what wins you matches in GG Strive. That isnt to say there arent combos because with the roman candle system there are extensions and you can get some insane damage.

I have gravatated to Millia and Potemkin as my mains. They are so different but both bring something to the table. With the tutorial system and just labbing ive been able to figure things out that i didnt even know worked and would not have none would work without the tutorial system. This is by far the best tutorial in a fighting game IMO.

I have made it to floor 8 at the time of writing this and the people im fighting legit feel like people i SHOULD be fighting. Im not sure if its because the game just came out but its not like in other fighting games where you get matched with people in your rank but truly they should be lower or higher tiers then you.

Honestly this game gets a 9/10 for me. The only issue ive seen so far is not having frame data to be able to tell specific things about my moves but thats just getting nitpicky.

The graphics are nice not state of the art of course because its an animated game but nice.

Gameplay is SOOOO buttery smooth and enjoyable even to a new GG Strive person like myself even though im not new to fighting games

Music is on POINT! The fighting music gets me hyped! I am not sure about yall but a fighting game needs good in game music and this has it! It BUMPS when you are engaged with another player to the point where i might even download the OST.

If you enjoy fighting games i would totally give this a try because the cast although small right now is very versitile and enjoyable to play just about everyone!

Early Access Review
Alright so i dont normally write any reviews due to just laziness if im being honest but this game right here has caused me to be productive just this once! This game has a ton of positive reviews for a reason and honestly with how games have been lately i havent found many games i keep coming back to that arent multiplayer. This one definately changes that and keeps me wanting to come back to it more and more!

TLDR: I would rate this a 10/10 would get slapped by the bull a million times or more!

This game is by far one of my favorite games right now. I loved Bastion, transistor. I never played the other games from the guys and gals who are making hades but it makes me want to go back and try them just because this game is so good!

This game has astounded me so many times in just the few hours i have in the game. There are SOOOO many voice lines for every character and im not even through half of them! The weapons are fun and enjoyable to mix and match with different buffs aka boons and weapon upgrades. It almost seems endless at the amount of things you can do to each weapon! There has been some serious effort put into this game and you can tell!

The enemies are challenging as you get further into the game and the maps are always fun to play just because of the shifting tile sets. I personally love the fighting style in this game. You can play pretty much anyway you want. Offensive, defensive or anything in between just by the boons and other buffs you get throughout the game.

The ending fight the first time i did it blew my mind and i was not expecting to deal with what it has to show you! All of the fights and their variants are fun but some of them are kinda easy with certain weapons due to being able to out range the bosses but thats fine IMO because sometimes you want to have an easy boss fight.

I personally at the time of writing this have only completed the final boss fight once and man was it a challenge but felt super rewarding despite the true ending not being in the game yet.

Honestly if you enjoyed any of the games that any of these game devs have worked on then this one is going to hit that spot and make you want to come back again and again! The graphics are not harsh on the eyes and i actually know what hit me and where my weapon is and where its attacking. I know in the past some of the games ive tried like this have to much junk on the screen and i cant tell whats going on. Hades seems to have all that junk but actually lets you know what and where its coming from and you can tell the difference from all of the enemies attacks.

The sound design and music is on point! I love the soundtrack for this game between the hub music to every fight and beyond. Its soothing at times and gets your blood flowing when the big stuff is happening!

I have always been a fan of the DBZ universe ever since i was a kid. I have also been a fan of 2d fighters since i was a kid. This game brings both of those things together to make a very enjoyable experience. I mean dont get me wrong it has its flaws like everything but its still a great game IMO. Ive even gotten my son hooked on DBZ and wanting to play this game with a legit arcade stick with me just because he enjoys the franchise as well.
10/10 would get my face smashed in by bardocks auto combo again!
