This feels like it is *the* roguelite looter shooter I've wanted to see ever since the roguelite genre took off. Like a Borderlands or Destiny type game, but with less story/exploration and more focus on mayhem.

Weapons, augments, and perks are all fun. The way it lets you choose a mission for a run, which adds parameters to the procedural generation, is a nice touch that helps the game feel a little less repetitive than other roguelites.

The main improvement I can think of so far might be to automatically save the game after choosing a perk at the end of each room. But there are still rooms that let you save a game mid-run and come back.

The server issue is a lot better now than it was on day one. Be advised, this is still early access, so there are some bugs, and unfinished features. But what's here so far is fun, when it works! Combat is fast and fluid, the characters all of abilities that offer a thoughtful spin on familiar mechanics, and the game world is a beautiful place to visit.
