This is a decent deck-builder rougelike. I would say if you haven't played Slay the Spire or Roguebook, check those out because I think they are better. I haven't gotten as far in this one, but from what I can tell its a much more interesting story, but the runs don't feel as satisifying as a STS or Roguebook run.

If you love both of those games, and want more I think this game is a great pickup.

It's Baldin Time!

As a player of Tarkov and The Cycle: Frontier that got frustrated by both games which cater to the ultra-hardcore, I wanted this game before I even found it. Zero Sievert gives you the intensity of sneaking through the Russian-inspired nuclear wasteland and fighting bandits and hunters on the brink of death. struggling to make it out with simple gear. It can be frustrating at first similar to other extraction shooters, but the fact that YOU LOSE NOTHING when you die is so good for your sanity. You still lose anything you collected on that run but you can keep trying and learn without having to worry about going bankrupt or waiting for real-time supply drops. There is a surprising amount of content in the game and I would recommend a buy for anyone that likes extraction shooters but is frustrated by getting killed and losing all their hard-earned loot to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Fair warning: there is no multiplayer and there are quite a few bugs, but nothing that made me want to stop playing.

The game provides decent enough motivation to improve and the tense feeling while being on the planet is fun, but after dying too many times to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or people that have way better gear than you could hope to attain, its gets old fast.

This game starts off being a fun survival game with the extra challenge punishment on death. But even if you were to forgive the bad optimization and jankiness, you quickly realize that the time limit on missions and survival aspects do not make for an engaging gameplay loop. The missions have almost nothing to do with your survival and your survival does not increase your ability to do the missions. Also the reward for completing a mission is typically you have to start over from scratch, so it becomes a situation where you would rather just not do the missions, but are forced to because the game will delete your character if you don't complete them or leave before the timer expires. It took me about 20 hours to realize how un-fun this was. Maybe for some people, repeating the same survival content at the beginning (gathering rocks to make an axe, killing a few deer, etc) is engaging, but for me it lost its appeal around the 20 hour mark.

Game is not the groundbreaking, futuristic game of tomorrow, but its a very solid game, with a great story, satisfying gameplay, and a great cyberpunk theme.

Its aight

Many hours of fun to be had in this game, even in its current state. Would highly recommend.

I gave this game a try because I got it on the humble bundle, but I had no idea how addicted I would get. I mean, my car has no mirrors, but I love it. I want to take care of it, to nuture it. Opening boxes on the side of the road is like opening CS: GO crates: most of them are ♥♥♥♥ but every now and then you get wine. Cons are the controls are pretty janky, I find my self sitting in the car and getting out accidentally more than I successfully close the door. This game would be a 100% must have if they add VR.

The AI is not intellgent. Does not respond logically to any of my sentences or short commands in over an hour of play.
