Early Access Review
Even in early access there's a fair amount of content here. Has some nice visuals and fun weapons. Overall a good time.

Early Access Review
Played this primarily on Oculus app. Downloaded again on steam just to give a negative review for the devs incompetence.

Pros: Great concept, wonderful map design, and some of the best weapon mechanics I've seen.

Cons: Literally everything else. I feel like this game had a huge focus on those three things and just forgot to make the rest of the game. The trailers are the most misleading trailers I've ever seen, and the game feels like an alpha but they are somehow putting out PAID DLC as if this is their finished product. Charging $25 and then $3-$8 for each small DLC that should just be included to begin with.

The whole game either feels empty or full of garbage. The gameplay feels like a mix between a new irritating Ubisoft title and RUST, except it's taken only the annoying stuff from those games. The "quests" are the most uninspired ♥♥♥♥♥ I've come across and are chock full of tasks that I can't think anyone would WANT to do in a game.

It's empty, there's nothing to do except run around and shoot the same robot over and over, or do some random quests that you got from a note on a refrigerator or something, other than that it's just a massive loot simulator with annoying un-intuitive UI. There is no life to this game and multiplayer doesn't even make up for it.

The game itself is kinda fun. But when it comes to how punishing it is? Not so much. Just one zombie hitting a building like 3 times can infect it and then its game over from there. Not a whole lot you can do to stop that once it starts, and even if you do manage to stop it, it leaves a lot of wasted resources. I think this game has given me more headaches than moments of actual enjoyment.

Another awful game mechanic that kind of ruins this game for me is how if you lose a mission, it keeps track and punishes you for it, potentially leading to just completely restarting, which wouldn't be too big of an issue if the missions themselves didn't take absolutely forever.

Overall I have had some fun with this game, and do plan on continuing to play to completion. There's just a few big things that ruin the overall experience.

Revisit: Coming back to this game I see that nothing has changed, I've HEARD the devs are pricks too for some review related reasons. Levels are absolutely too long for how punishing this game is even on easier difficulties. Hard games tend to have a bit of fun from the difficulty, but it is genuinely hard to even have fun in this one.

I am proud to say that some of my favorite games as a kid have finally made their way onto PC. Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3, were a big part of my childhood and the feeling I had playing them, while it will never be what it once was, was something no other game has been able to recreate.

These games are masterpieces (most of them), and now they are finally on PC where I can play them whenever I please once again.

I just hope that Halo Infinite will be as great as 343 are trying to make it seem.

I am definitely going to be playing more of this game but I just have to say that the single player is not too great. If you are going to play this game, playing with a friend or a few is so much more fun.

A very well done exploration game.

I'm not sure how they do it but it felt like I was confused on where to go or what to do all the time while still making progress everywhere I went. So it really just did not matter where I went first I just went and stuff would be revealed and lead to even more.

The story is nice, and the art style is sooooo good. The only thing I could ask for with this game is voice acting. Reading dialogue isn't bad but I'd love some cute voices here and there to go along with the game's atmosphere (no pun intended :/).

Play this game blind. As you can see I am definitely not the first to say that but it's true. I knew nothing about this game other than what's on the store page and that made the experience so much better imo. If I had watched a youtuber play it a bit before buying it, the sense of wonder and everything that makes the exploration of this game fun, just would not have been the same.

The only final notes I have are: It scared the pee out of me sometimes, and while it is a GREAT game, I honestly can't justify the price due to it having almost 0 replay value and isn't super long.

Surprised I never reviewed actually reviewed this game. Not a very long game, or a whole lot to it, but it's definitely a good one. I enjoyed playing it and the story it tells is genuinely good and is one of the few that actually made me think and replay to get each ending.

I definitely recommend giving it a shot. The only downside for me is I don't think a sequel is ever actually going to come.
