In a world of Original English Language Visual Novels trying to insist they're not like other girls, it's supremely refreshing to play one that wears its influences on its sleeve - fans of Umineko, Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, and probably many others I'm missing the references for need to check this ♥♥♥♥ out.

The prologue chapter, (free to play now!) alone is a confidently structured mystery that pulls off a narrative trick I often abhor for being cheap, with such panache that I begrudgingly admit it remains Fair Play. Add to that some gorgeous presentation that only gets more refined as successive episodes come out, and you have something really special.

The UI of the game telling you that the first 100 days don't even count as one of the game's marketed 100 endings, that was all just a prologue, is the first time any game's outdone the delayed title-card in NieR Automata (which itself beat out Kingdom Hearts 2's delayed title card).

The game sometimes struggles to fill 100 days of time, with a few lulls that feel a bit slow to go through, but when the game's in an exciting period, it feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exciting. The combat is excellent too, the kind of tactics RPG that rewards both aggressive play and cleverly chaining skills together. It's a blast.

I've played this game via fanworks before and while it's amazing to finally have F/SN officially available in English, there's fairly consistent typographical errors throughout the script, enough to be noticeable. Also, the game was barely marketed, basically sent out to die with a mere week of forewarning to its release date.

This is an important, foundational VN, and the English translation has clearly not been given the respect it deserves. New features to the Remastered version, such as the in-game flowchart, are greatly appreciated however.

As a microcosm of Miyashiro Takuru misunderstanding Nishijou Takumi, Chaos;Child is a game that deeply misunderstands Chaos;Head, and muddies its own themes of arrested development and coming of age by being the cynical, angry, emo teenage cousin to the rest of the SciADV series.

This isn't a story about reaching for blue skies, but about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so hard that not even coming to an understanding of your own flaws can save you.

Haven't actually played much of the game yet. Still trying to get back into character as Jim before I continue.

I finally got the achievement for this game where you go outside and don't play the game for five years, so I can finally officially say that I think the game is fairly good.

Akiho Senomiya is a girl who loves robots.

That's really the only way I can explain what this game means to me. It's a coming of age story done perfectly, a story about being the best version of yourself. I become so emotional thinking about it that the only way I can really explain it is with raw emotion.

So, if you'll allow me:

Robotics;Notes is a game about shooting for the stars, because even if you miss, you're always moving onwards, upwards. Each Phase (chapter of the game) brings you higher, from the atmosphere into the sun's influence - the Heliosphere.

For Science Adventure, the sky is hope for humanity. The blue sky, the skyclad observer, and even our species striving towards space - the kind of optimism for the world that existed in the early space race between America and Russia. The values embodied by having "the Right Stuff".

Strive to be the best you can be. You won't just be a pilot, you'll be the best hotdog ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pilot you've ever seen! Surge of spirit! SUPER ROBOTS ALWAYS WIN!
