Until Dwarf Fortress hits 1.0, this mod will likely be essential. The integration with Dwarf Fortress is almost seamless, at least compared to the pre-Steam version. Could be better documented and more user friendly in-game of course. Until that happens, consult the DFHack wiki while getting the hang of it.

An excellent update to an already Fun game. At present (week of launch), there's plenty that needs polishing, so this is a slightly qualified recommendation. However, there's every reason to believe things will improve at a relatively quick pace.
