The new player experience is...not great. I strongly recommend asking around for help when getting started. The community is extremely supportive. Once you get past the new player hurdle though, Warframe is one of the best games available right now, and probably the best live service game that has ever existed. The developer, Digital Extremes, is extremely responsive to community feedback and very conscious of the ethics of their decisions, in the past having even changed designs after players spent -too much money- on them. You would never hear of any other developer doing that. This game and its development team are constantly putting out hit after hit for updates and their talent never ceases to amaze. This is a wild ride that is definitely worth working past some growing pains.
