Incredibly cute and "low pressure" game. All the characters felt distinct and while I only romanced the gals, they were all super fun routes. The Match 3 gameplay is also fun without feeling grindy, and the difficulty options let you make it harder or just skip it entirely should you wish.

The game can also get raunchy but it always sign posts options well so you know what's "romantic" and what's supposed to get steamy.

Miko is the best gal, don't @ me

Gorgeous artwork with a lot of very titillating and enjoyable writing. No AI slop or shortcuts, just good ol fashioned artists making good old fashioned art!

It is as sweet as it is short, just a very wholesome and lovable duo who deserve the world!

The art was just wonderful and considering it's free, it's an easy recommend to anyone who enjoys cutesy yuri 🩷

Gorgeous artwork, really soothing music, fun combat and a lot of potential variety with the deckbuilding system.

This game could be something special, especially since it has such a shoujo vibe and hopefully a very yuri vibe too!! Will definitely get the game once it hits early access.

I'll just be mirroring what a lot of the other reviews have said in that this game is uniquely able to convey the feeling of being transgender in a way that I've never really seen a game or frankly a well written story do. Being from the perspective of a trans woman, transfem folk will probably relate to it much better but I believe transmasc folk can still relate to an extent as well.

It's truly phenomenal that each route seems to almost touch on different "aspects" of being trans, different ways that life and the process of transition can happen for trans folk without ever seeming preachy or judgemental. It strikes the perfect balance in my eyes, and is such a story that I personally think every trans person should try to experience if possible.

The game's fairly upfront about the fact that the choices are largely decorative with the exception of who you "romance". But honestly, there was still an incredible amount of variety in how Poppy's journey happens and how her relationships evolve with others. It's so RAW in every route that I do feel that you should play every route if possible (even if you're gay like me and only had eyes for the gals hehe).

I can't recommend this game hard enough for everyone and if you're a fan of LGBTQIA+ stories or just a good heartfelt romantic tale then this game is definitely worth playing.

Other reviewers have also mentioned it but there are some content warnings to be wary of (fortunately you can see content warnings for each route before you start) but the one unavoidable thing is deadnaming as the protagonist's egg won't have cracked until you get to certain points in each route.

So before I get into my thoughts on the game, I must point out that there's a fan patch available that ports stuff from the Nintendo Switch/PS4 version of this game to PC. It's stuff that includes artwork in 16:9, some short stories and other various stuff that I would consider essential. The only reason it's not available by default on the Steam version is largely due to licensing issues + the fact that it's a different engine. However the patch works flawlessly and you should have no issues.

OK so I'm generally not a Visual novel guy myself though I've recently started getting into them. It was the incredibly high amount of positive reviews for this game that convinced me to try and I am so so glad I did. I legitimately believe that this is one of the most emotionally evocative work of fiction I've ever engaged with. I wholeheartedly, eyes closed, 100% recommend this to anyone who has even a passing interest in this sort of game/story. My only recommendation would be to be wary that the material can get dark and depressing so if you feel the need to take a break to calm down or for your mental health then that's totally fine. But I do believe that you should try to power through to the end of the story. Absolutely worth every single cent they're asking for and more.

If you're a fan of wacky games, JRPGs, turn based combat, generally fun combat, over the top plotlines or just generally loveable casts then you will ADORE this game.

Incredibly fun and frenetic combat that IMO is an evolution from the gameplay pillars of Final Fight and Streets of Rage. The gameplay quite noticeably shares roots from some fighting games like Street Fighter 3 what with it's directional parries and juggles.

The visuals are fairly nice but sometimes can be a little too much when there are too many enemies on screen. It does become a bit difficult at times to see what's even going on.

The music is quite nice and fits the entire tone of the game perfectly. A lot of replayability at offer here and really just a fantastic beat em up.

ONLY downside is the lack of online co-op but if you have great internet, you can use Parsec (look it up) as a decent alternative.
