I was born inside the movie of my life, I don’t remember how I got into the movie, but it continues to entertain me. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be in a movie. How many times have you stood in front of the mirror like De Niro saying “You talkin’ to me?” or maybe run around your room saying “I’m Batman!”, maybe even practice your Oscar acceptance speech, sometimes, even put your head phones on and stare out the window just imagining yourself in a movie. What we all don’t realize is that all of us are already in the movie, the movie that is called ‘life’. Today you are in an action movie, tomorrow its romance and some days its even comedy. As we grow, we keep exploring the plot, unraveling every minute of the frame and trying to find our way to a climax. The climax could be dramatic and intense or could just be another happy ending. Any way you see it, our life is just flawless, a perfectly taken movie where there are moments of joy, sadness, action, horror and love. Sometimes even remembered and cherished by some, like those black and white flashback scenes. Just like a movie everyone has a role to play, everyone has a perspective and the best part is, everyone gets to play the lead, maybe the supporting actor and sometimes the villain. Another thing that people don’t realize is that, the movie has just begun. At this point, your character is probably just getting some depth and is slowly getting interesting, probably you still haven’t met the right people. Unlike a movie, the script isn’t already written, one must understand that he is writing his lines himself and directing the shot. So, rather than thinking your character isn’t interesting enough, it’s your job to go out there and make it interesting enough. Don’t wait for someone to wake you up and shout “LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!”. The film is already rolling, the scenes are already in action. So, get up, and start playing your role. Get up and and explore the different genres. Get up and meet other characters. Get up and make this movie worth remembering by others. Because, after all, our life is just another movie.
