Smashing cars is fun.

It has been a while since I have been so captivated by a game. Everything about it just had me craving more. Elden Ring is easily one of my favorite games of all time now and I wish I could forget it all and go through that first playthrough again, exploring every nook and cranny blind while piecing together what has happened to the world around me.

I was a big fan of the first game and this one really improves in a lot of ways while staying true to the concept.

The nemesis system is the best part about this game. The story is kinda boring and Talion is the least likable protagonist ever, but the gameplay and orcs keep the game interesting.

A bit repetitive gameplay wise and after a while the lack of fast travel mechanics made some things a chore but I enjoyed the game nonetheless. The story was good enough to keep me going and there's some meaningful choices that alter the ending. Worth it on a sale, spring for the Deluxe edition since the DLCs are pretty good.

I can't stand playing this game 15 minutes at a time between crashes. It's shameful that Square Enix can't be bothered to patch technical issues in what is otherwise a great game.

If you have a Nvidia 780 series, don't even bother. There's a bug specific to that card that crashes the game and Nvidia's driver update nor FAR mod fix it.

I never got into the Souls series, but this is right up my ally. The combat is punishing, but fair and rewarding. The leveling and upgrading systems make a lot more sense to me than the Souls series. Level design is pretty solid, with lots of hidden paths, items and shortcuts. I've been taking my time to explore sections before completing goals and trying out the different rigs and weapons. 12 hours in and I've beat two bosses, both of which were adrenaline pumping battles that took a few tries to figure out attack timing. I highly recommend it.

Excellent coop horde shooter with amazing gore effects, what's not to love.
