Want to control a squad of remarkably well-adjusted murderers in Edo period Japan hiding bodies in implausible places?
If so, this is a game for you! It also helps that all your specialists have Shinto powers that allow them to pass through bushes effortly and mostly invisibly.

It has similar mechanics to the old Commandos games but with lots of interface improvements and a more entertaining cast. Shadow Tactics encourages you to experiment and has a good mix of playful challenges and achievements - most of these are displayed once you complete a mission for the first time (although there are some additional secrets). I've enjoyed going back to earlier missions to explore and complete on higher difficulties. The only downside is the story which is predictable but the missions and mission dialogue is good. The graphics are on the simple side but I think it suits the game and overall it looks quite pretty.

Buy if you enjoy tidying up bodies into bushes, wells, lakes and off the sides of mountains.

~~Written ~27 hours in on v2.2.10. On the final mission and have done hardcore + speedruns on the first few missions.~~
