The game is bright and colourful, overall it's a fun experience, perhaps a little repetitive, but I would recommend.
But I can't look past the use of AI. During development using AI is a great way of getting the message across. Placeholder portraits, VA, etc. while building the game and raising funds. However the game has been out long enough now and it's still there. Paying artists for portraits shouldn't be much for just a few busts of characters. If you can't afford VAs then there's nothing wrong with just going back to text.

I'm sorry if it seems pedantic to base my negative review solely on the use of AI, however those are my opinions, and this is the place I choose to voice them.

I'm usually one to ignore reviews with short play times, but maybe if the devs put ANY effort into the driving feel then people would play longer before leaving a negative review. Using a controller the steering input is direct. Changing sensitivity makes the steering slower. Normal driving games use complicated data based systems for determining input and output. Speed, traction, vehicle weight, etc. This game just has direct input. If you're doing 5mph moving the stick 100% left makes you steer 100% left. at 50mph moving the stick 100% left makes you steer 100% left. Meanwhile the game has a clutch / manual gear change system. Oh well.

I really like this game, and I like the series as a whole. I do think they're overpriced, but when on sale they're absolutely worth it. However I cannot recommend the game as it currently stands. Which is to say, it doesn't. After a year of not playing I fancied playing again. I downloaded the two minor bug fix updates, but unfortunately the game won't start. I've tried just about everything except for reinstalling windows. This issue seems to have been plaguing a few others who have made posts about it, but no fixes work. for me or for them. So unfortunately I cannot recommend.

Really fun and atmospheric game, I've not finished it yet and just ran into a game-stopping bug. Posted it on the forums and within 30 minutes a dev had responded that they've fixed the issue on the beta patch, ready to be pushed to the live servers.

It's not perfect, but damn it's fun and it's got an amazing team behind it :)

Just not worth it, seriously save yourself and don't even download it.

If I didn't pay for anything why do I feel like I've been ripped off?

What first?
The lag!
My PC specs are just above minimum; Core 2 Quad, 4GB ram, GeForce GT 545. This game runs like a snail on steroids. I'm not one of these gamers that can't play a game under 60. I'll settle for 30 FPS any day. I get about 15 in DayZ (on a good day). Due to this and the inexplicable jumpiness of multiplayer servers with 30 ping, killing zombies is near impossible with melee. I had an "ice axe" and was trying to kill one zombie that kept running through me (due to the lag it took me about 2-3 seconds to turn around). I died.

I'm not new to this game either, I've played it every now and again after a few updates have passed. That was about 5 months ago. I recently reinstalled it, spent 5 minutes running, 20 minutes trying to lower every setting I could then another 15 minutes "playing". After 30 seconds with a second zombie, this time wielding a crowbar I ragequit, before it even landed 5 hits on me. Why? Because the fight consisted of me running in circles, every now and again trying to turn and hit the zombie in a frustrating dance

I understand the "random loot" thing, but when you find two pistol magazines in a house and no pistol you think to yourself "Who the f**k owns 2 magazines for a pistol they don't have?". Or when you go to a food shack... thing and find 6 arrows!

1/10
-This game could be more fun if you had a very expensive PC (although I doubt it).
-Want my money back

This game is like an easier version of DayZ, it's much more accessable due to it's smaller file size and it's much easier to run, being a unity game. Each time you play something different will happen, the first time I played I died a lot, then I quickly got to grips with kiting zombies. Each time I've started a new playthrough I've found something new, be it a beret or a holo sight! This game also has singleplayer (Thank god!) so you can learn before getting killed by bandits *COUGH* DayZ *COUGH*. It's a small file and a quick download so what have you got to lose trying it out?!?
