Early Access Review
TL;DR: If you liked Nuclear Throne or are looking for a fun roguelite, I highly recommend this game.

I have spent years. Actual years waiting and trying to find the game that scratches the itch of Nuclear Throne. This right here, does it. I cannot be mad when I die. It plays extremely similar to Nuclear Throne as well, the movement, the gunplay. I do wish one thing: high-vis bullets. There is sometimes so much going on with the screen that I sometimes cannot physically see, however I do have an eye condition which doesn't help either.

As for the guns if you have played NT you will recognize a good majority of them, with a few more weapons added by the developers. All are good, each with their own niche uses. I tend to favor Britta with a melee focus, similar to how I played Chicken in NT.

One thing I am going to wish for is to continue a run after defeating the boss of that area. If I start at Land of Wolf, I should have a choice to keep going all the way, similar to like an iron-man run or whatever it is called. However, I do also know this game is Early Access and with it, I cannot hold that against them.

In my honest opinion, melee trivializes the game in its current state. Destroyed projectiles can drop ammo and health from melee and you can abuse it with the ice enemies in Jotunheim. Take a dagger and you will be all set.

The mods lead to beautifully broken weapon combinations, an ancient microwave gun combined with acid runes and burst was a boss deletion machine.

At the end of the day I truthfully love this game. At least half of my Steam library is roguelike and roguelite games, and this one is in the top five for me.

Ok I am going to be blunt: I expected your normal hentai visual novel, with basic af game mechanics.

For one: Worth it, buy it. Ayano is best imo.

For two: I have already found a way to break the game and break the entire money system. There needs to be some balance changes, you can, as of right now, completely exploit the mountain pass and just essentially make free money+energy when you have extra choice slots. I started a loop with 100 max energy and 200 gold. By the end I was at 310 max with all items bought in the money store.

As for actual gameplay, it is honestly a refreshing take on a visual novel, granted I have not played many. The stories each woman has is interesting, not in the sense of full-fledged lore, but enough substance to actually read and feel like there's plot development. With that being said, the mood system is also easily exploited, and you can very easy max mood.

In short: It is a good game, I am not even halfway done all of the content of this game, and I am exploiting it.

Lastly, please add a skip feature to the sex scenes or allow the player to do a monogamy playthrough, maybe we don't want to bang all the sisters and just want one.

Helldivers.

We have pushed back the corporate automaton threat, Sony has been liberated. We must remain vigilant. The war is not yet won, take this victory and go forth to other corporate automaton strongholds and give them the taste of Liberty.

As a memorial for all that have been lost, I will leave the original dispatch below.

Godspeed.

I believe the reviews are going to speak for themselves with how little the community approves of this change. However, when the game first released, not one single place, or one indication on Steam, stated that a separate account was required. Recently, they added this change onto Steam. If anyone actually finds evidence of this, I ask you provide it and I will retract my statement. In February the peak player count was 458,709. At the time of this review the player count is at 101,155.

Everyone is going to talk about how Sony is burying this game alive, kicking and screaming as it is taken down. To be honest, with how the gaming industry has been over the past decade, I am far from shocked. I was honestly surprised this lasted as long as it did. Another point is that people will say Sony has yearly data breaches, which they do.

Let me make this clear to you: That is not the problem.

The real problem is the fact that, quite honestly, this WAS one of the best games of this year, and it still can be. However, it will no longer be. Another game, no, another franchise, killed by greed.

If anyone of you employees at Sony or Arrowhead sees this, know one thing:

Not only did you lie to us, you ACTIVELY decided this. You reap what you sow, and right now? You are reaping the soul from this game and it's community. Have some balls, say you messed up and change it back. However, we know you won't. That would give the gaming community as a whole too much hope. Being a Helldiver taught me one thing: too much hope leads to rebellion, and with rebellion the social order falls.

Game is fun, too easy even with 220% difficulty really needs a harder game mode. Would recommend for the casual gamer for easy entry into punishing roguelikes. Still too easy tho.

I'm going to be completely honest here; I had no idea this game existed until I got a coupon from completing badges. This game is worth the full price. I had a coupon, but this game is worth the full price. Bullet Hell meets Roguelike, it's simple but addictive.
