This game is an incredible piece of art, with breathtaking vistas, incredible music and a super polished version of the now classic Dark Souls combat system. Thankfully it is also easily the most accessible From Software game to date. If you are a new player you can start wandering around and slowly find what works for you. With a few exceptions, every single obstacle in the game can be overcome easily through some clever thinking and/or bruteforcing if needed. If you are stuck, try using some of the many summons included in the game. If you are a veteran player, instead, you can certainly challenge yourself by limiting your options (no summons) or the classic challenge runs.

An amazing experience that plays with conventional narrative structures and really leverages the mechanic of NG+ to tell a complete story. To experience the full game you really have to play it three times. This can sound daunting if you are a busy adult, but you can really finish the game in 40/50 hours. Each playthrough is also short enough yet unique that the game doesn't feel stale on the second and 3rd way through. Gameplay-wise the game blends the classic hack and slash formula of platinum games' titles with bullet-hell gameplay from titles like Tohou project. I wouldn't recommend this game for new gamers, but if you are a seasoned gamer you will enjoy the creative spins that this game makes on its genre.

Short and sweet gem that deserves to be played.
All you need to know is that you play as an android looking for your human after the ship you were on crash landed on a frozen planet. Go and play it blind, you deserve it.

An addictive adrenaline inducing rouge-like. Take control of one of several vampire hunters and fight hordes of monsters looking for the vampire. Collect dozens of weapons while unlocking new characters and secrets. Great on steam deck for short play session

Terraria is basically minecraft where the devs put their best on the exploration, character building and battle systems. Give it a try, it really is one of the best

Here's the deal. Don't buy this game if you value your time.
There's a reason this game keeps getting re-released. Todd managed to perfect the classing Bethesda gameplay loop, sucking you in the game for hours. The game can be quite goofy and the story is not the best, but as a sandbox you will definitively have lots of fun, even without mods. You can buy houses, ride horses, get married, become a master craftsman, hunt down some legendary artifacts and do a lot of tasks that sound cool in princible, but are really shallow in practice. Most quests and activities come down to "go there, kill big meanie, collect item, return item". This can be said of any Bethesda game, but Skyrim is so big that you will eventually realise that all dungeons have the same 3 types of enemies and all quests have the same basic structure.

Regardless, if you are not fixated on 100 percenting the game and just want to fiddle around with mods and that classing Bethesda gameplay loop, Skyrim is a good game for you.

What can I say, Mass Effect is still one of - if not the best narrative experience in gaming.
The improvements to Mass Effect 1 are extensive, yet the core gameplay is preserved. This results in some parts still being a bit clunky (like driving in the Mako), but these sections are still part of the charm of Mass Effect.
The graphic improvements to ME1 are great, while the changes to ME2 and ME3 are minor.
ME2 is a bit too dark at times, but you get used to it eventually.
The ending is unchanged, but with all DLCs being included it is now at least serviceable. Not terrible, not great.
Lastly, some minor glitches and bugs are still present. Hopefully they will be patched out.
The only real negative is the absence of the multiplayer. Hopefully the team will release it as a DLC soon.

Coming from Sekiro this game can be pretty rough at the start. The movements are very clunky and sometimes there is a weird input lag. However after the first 10 hours the game grows on you. The armors and weapons are very varied and if you like HUGE bosses and HUGE weapons with HUGE damage you will love this game. I personally prefer finesse to raw strenght and I fell in love with Ricard's Rapier. Sadly, no other weapon's moveset felt as fast as this rapier so I found myself investing in INT to buff its damage output with magic in the late game. Overall I still quite enjoyed the game. However, for the love of god, do yourself a favor and LEVEL UP AGILITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This game locked the roll i-frames behind a stat and you will hate your life if you don't get it up by the time you finish the first area.
