Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth was a low-budget game that his director had no faith on. However it turned out to be a gem. Perhaps the best of the franchise, opening it to a teen audience and being more friendly to newcomers. It is enjoyable for both casual and hardcore fans of the franchise. The gameplay is very polished and the plot is by far its greatest asset.

Hacker's Memory is iffy. Many people criticize it for many of the recycled elements, but unlike certain Gamefreak game, it introduces more Digimon, more maps, content, a new plot line and upon release its director published a website detailing every single change made. Hacker's Memory was never intended to be a sequel to the original. It is a midquel for people who wanted a bit more of the Cyber Sleuth experience.

Play Cyber Sleuth, then Hacker's Memory, enjoy the plot 9/10, dialogues could have been shorter, but hey Japan.

If you feel like it wasn't a big challenge, play on hard more and do the post-game missions.
The final boss is not challenging unfortunately.
