I like to draw and play videos games! I play pretty much any genre, but I particularly like games with a cartoony aesthetic and unique gameplay. Feel free to add me if you have any questions.

Legit a dream game of mine! I've always wanted a creature collector game where you have a goal, but can also create your own little guy. Sort of like a randomised OC (so I can draw them haha). I've had my own concepts for one that I never ended up making, but this scratches that itch for me!

I wasn't looking for an idler and was disappointed at first since it comes off as that. Instead it's a very attention demanding game which I really like personally, but as others have pointed out the store page comes off as a little misleading. The developers mentioned they wanted to go for a sort of shiny hunting feel and I really think they achieved that just on a smaller scale with more frequent drop rates. It respects the time you do put in by rewarding you with cool traits but it's not an idle game.

There are a few issues or bugs I noticed while playing. If you buy something from the store a second time it gets added into your decoration menu again. I'm not sure if this is a one off bug and I'm also not sure if this stacks multiple times.
It feels a bit strange that you can't erase anything from any tool in decoration mode. So if I had the fence tool selected I can't erase the wall object unless I switch back to the wall tool.

Features I would love to see if the developers still plan on updating the game (and are also willing to listen to a random persons ideas haha):
-A way of creating your own list of features you are looking for using the tag system. So you can pick any of your already unlocked traits and create a sort of "dreamie" then target that creature using the tag system. (This might exist already but I haven't noticed it!)
-A way of telling if you have already bought something from the store. You don't have to completely remove the item if you want to keep the RNG feel of finally getting something you wanted, but if you wanted to push that even further you could showcase every item you can get from the store in the inventory as a greyed out option to invite curiosity.

I just really love the idea of a game that turns customisation into a mechanic and Whimside really nails that without making the process extremely tedious. I might add more to this review as I play more, but so far I have really enjoyed my time with this little game. :D
