Early Access Review
Everything that made the first game great, but more varied and supporting more diverse builds (as far as I can tell so far).
Get it if you are even the slightest fan of the roguelike deck-building genre that the predecessor popularized.
Regarding early access, it already plays really smooth (and it runs smoother than the original game, as it's now based on Godot Engine rather than Java/ LibGDX). The game also has way more animations, particle effects and a lot of polish that I didn't even expect coming from the first game.
The only unfinished content that I've seen so far is that some of the "epochs" (achievements/ unlocks) have placeholder art currently, which is totally fine IMO. Looking forward to seeing how this game expands in the next months!

Fun as heck, really reminds me of drafting Magic the Gathering mixed with a tactics game like Into the Breach (although it doesn't require the chess-like thinking about a lot of actions in advance like ItB does).
So much stuff unlocks once you get a bit further in the game as well, definitely keeps things interesting.

Amazing story telling from start to finish, great animation and world building.
Voice acting is top notch as well.

Feels like playing Slay the Spire for the first time, while being a very different game

Best Viking simulator to date. Lots of fun with friends, think of it as a mix of relaxed farming and building a la Minecraft, coupled with intense fights and a pretty interesting combat system with lots of weapon options.

Can be a little bit grindy, but never overly so. And with all of the content they have already released you'll have a while until you make it to the last biome and boss.

Very cool progression and upgrade mechanics. Gets quite challenging at the higher danger levels. It has auto aim, but you can enable manual aiming in the settings for that extra bit of control over hectic situations. It's made in the open source Godot Engine, which is awesome!
Also: Potato!

Awesome material interactions, world generation, a plethora of enemy types, environmental danger, and of course system interaction. Have a bit of trouble with the screen resolutions, vsync and fullscreen currently, but it's still a lot of fun!
