Well, S02 is here with a delay and I apparently enjoy torturing myself. I’ll hope Season 2 — especially the first map — will be worth it and won’t be such a crazy grind like before. Even though we all know nothing has changed

💬 Review: Battlefield 6 (Phantom Edition)

⭐ Better than 2042, more stylish than V – but still missing that Battlefield 4 soul.

I’ve been playing Battlefield since 1942, and I’ve seen every rise and fall of this series.
After a long time, Battlefield finally looks and feels great again.
Graphics are beautiful, sound design is outstanding – explosions, weapons, ambience, all top-notch.
Optimization is surprisingly solid, runs smooth even on high settings. The overall presentation feels more cinematic – sometimes like a mix between BF4 and COD.

✅ Pros:
Great graphics and sound – technically impressive.
Excellent optimization, stable FPS even in chaos.
Feels like a true Battlefield again after the 2042 disaster.
Gorgeous environments and strong immersion.

❌ Cons:
Smaller maps, missing that large-scale BF4 warfare vibe.
Challenges are weird or bugged (like 300 suppression hits with an LMG as a medic – seriously?).
Unlocks sometimes don’t count or glitch out.
In-game store looks like BF2042 all over again – too much focus on microtransactions.
Season One grind is brutal: 4 factions × 22 levels × ~7K XP per level.
For players with jobs or families, it’s nearly impossible to complete.
UI is messy and nested, feels cluttered and unintuitive.
Occasionally feels more like COD than Battlefield, depending on the mode.

⚖️ Summary:
As a Battlefield veteran, I’ll say this: Battlefield 6 is the best the series has looked and performed in years, but it still lacks the raw, tactical heart of BF4.
It’s fun, fast, and cinematic — but buried under grind, confusing UI, and an unnecessary store.

🎯 + Great visuals, sound, optimization
💣 – Heavy grind, messy UI, smaller maps, microtransactions

💬 “BF4 pulled you into war. BF6 shows it to you in HDR — with a battle pass.”

My feelings after finishing the game are mixed. Compared to the previous installment, this one definitely felt weaker. The length of the game didn’t bother me, but the story was missing something – perhaps more depth or stronger emotional moments.

The best and at the same time the scariest experience for me was sneaking through the cave. The sense of claustrophobia, the echoing sounds, and the overwhelming darkness – absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the game's ending was a disappointment. It felt rushed and didn’t give the story a proper conclusion.

The combat also didn’t quite click with me – I much preferred the system from the first game. On the other hand, the finishing moves were a nice improvement, as was the way fights flowed together seamlessly, with enemies dynamically interacting and pushing each other around.

Visually, the game is stunning – the graphics are beautiful and detailed. The sound design was excellent, but unlike the first game, I missed a memorable track that would stick with me, like Illusion by VNV Nation.

A major highlight is the New Game+ mode, where the story is told from the perspective of the characters you meet along the way – adding a fresh take on the narrative.

Overall, I’d rate the game a 7/10. It’s a solid experience, but not worth the full price. However, with a 50% discount, I’d definitely recommend it.

Review: Alien: Dark Descent
I'll try to summarize my thoughts on the game. First, let me say that these are just my personal impressions and experiences. I played the game on default settings and completed it.

Gameplay
The game itself is fairly difficult, especially if you don’t use a bit of brainpower. It reminded me of gaming in the 90s, where you weren’t hand-held all the way through, and there wasn’t an autosave every 30 seconds.

There are many factors that make the game challenging, which I appreciate:

How much you avoid contact with the Xenomorph.
How loudly you move or whether you run.
How much stress you expose your soldiers to.
How I Played the Campaign
First of all, I’d like to mention that I completed every mission on the first try, and I didn’t lose a single soldier. For the final mission, I still had 12 days left on the countdown.

I started with a squad setup of 1 Commander, 1 Technician, 1 Sniper (getting a silencer early is crucial), and 1 Medic. Later in the campaign, I switched to adding an additional Sniper. This setup allowed me to silently take out two enemies at a time, avoiding noise and preventing enemies from being drawn to me.

My soldiers’ stress levels were consistently manageable. If stress increased, I’d simply "dig in" — weld doors shut and rest. Although tools are limited in the game, this approach worked well.

I placed beacons everywhere, and near ARC/APC, I sometimes placed up to five. I discovered that if you need to lure enemies away, you can leave the ARC/APC area, activate a beacon near it (which will attract and eliminate enemies drawn to it), and continue your mission in peace. Of course, this tactic isn’t always applicable but can be very useful in certain situations.

Story
It’s a classic Alien narrative: you’re trying to uncover what the Xenomorph is, why it’s on the planet, and how it suddenly took control of everything. You’re also investigating why it was in a container on your ship and why someone attempted to flee the star system with it.

Sound
The motion detector’s beeping dramatically amplifies player stress, and for me, it worked brilliantly.

Graphics
7/10 — nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. After all, who plays Alien for the graphics?

Overall Summary
In my opinion, this is a very good game set in the Alien universe. I’d say it’s my second favorite Alien game after Alien: Isolation, which remains unbeatable in my eyes.
